Just one of many things in the Trump story that I don't like...

I'll still be voting for him because the bridge between him and the establishment is burnt. DeSantis has too many ties...
That bridge is probably only burned on one side. Listening to Trump talk it doesn’t sound like he’s learned a thing. Desantis is his enemy while Newsome is his friend. He also endorsed John Cornyn when he was up for re-election.

Vivek Ramaswamy in the primary, over “Silencers, I Don’t Like Them” Trump
Dream on. Trump is far from perfect, but he still has a bigger base than Ramaswamy ever will. I think you're stuck on things you don't like rather than what good he had done. I still consider Trump the best president in my lifetime.

Voting for the candidate that most closely reflects my views in the primaries is not dreaming on.

Take the guns first, due process later. Percolate on that sentiment for a little bit.

Probably too late but I would like to see him and the Trumpster bury the hatchet. A 2024 Trump/DeSantis ticket would be unbeatable. A lot of good could happen in 12 years.

Unbeatable in the primary, sure, but any ticket with the Trump name attached to it is going to lose the general election, and we need more than a 2nd place finish this time.

In fact, I think DeSantis will not allow the hatchet to be buried (at least publicly) before the general election because distancing himself from Trump helps him attract critical swing votes, which increases his chances in the general election.

Any candidate with any ties to Trump is going to get attacked mercilessly on those ties, and they will become anchors. Too much of the nation has been brainwashed by the MSM against Trump, there are very few of us who know what a great President he was.

It sucks that this is true, but crying about it doesn't help us win. We have to move on and win this election, and that means someone other than Trump. DeSantis is still the best candidate. Great record, set a great example with his work in Florida, brings all those Florida electoral votes (!!), very strong conservative credentials, and none of the endless Trump baggage.

    You challenged. I proved.

Your turn. Show them. You say countless. Show a couple of them where he states he was unequivocally wrong about wiping his ass with Due Process.

    I’ll wait.

Although I like a lot of trumps policy decisions, his 2A stance is RINO level. When he’s trying to win campaign support, he’s pro 2A. But aside from that, he is at best neutral on 2A and at worst anti 2A. During his presidency he never made any effort to get any pro 2A laws passed. He did however ban bump stocks via EO, and voice support for red flag laws and suppressor bans. Even if he flip flops while out of office, what became clear to me while he was in office is that he is most interested in just being able to take credit for something, even if it’s a bad thing. He knows that he will not lose any votes supporting gun control because people will say “but the alternative would be worse” but he likely thinks he will seem more reasonable to the left/RINOs.

Still waiting. Did you read the article, or just the headline?

A sitting POTUS stated he wanted to eliminate Due Process and you pull up an article written a year and a half after he was no longer in office where he simply trashes politicians and panders to the NRA Fudds hoping they, like you apparently , had never heard or forgotten he said what he said.

That is a pretty pathetic attempt by you. I mean seriously, you called my statement bullshit and were promptly proven ignorant. Once enlightened did you say “oh, damn, he really said that”?

    No you doubled down.

Voters like you are the problem. Uninformed voters are as big a threat as democrat cheating.

You should be ashamed of your pathetic excuse for a reply to my counter challenge.

No where in there does he admit that suggesting wiping his ass with the Constitution was a bad idea. No where.

With covid opening the door to ballot harvesting in many states and democrats being able to go door to door in democrat run cities while republican voters are often more spread out in rural areas. It's an uphill battle for anyone.

There you go with your innuendo and name calling, is that the best you got? You do that often to many people. While I may think you're wrong, I'm not going to attack your character.
