Finally ordered a suppressor

Well, finally decided I’d waited long enough for the tax stamp to go away and ordered a Banish 30 from Silencer Central. My first suppressor. They have a deal going on where you order a 30 or 338 caliber Banish and get a .22RF can free (pay for the stamp)

Surprised by how easy it was! Includes a free trust. They said expect 8 months for stamps to clear. Then it will be delivered to my door.

It was a good deal for me….looking forward to seeing it show up after Christmas!

They can deliver to your door in 30 some states.
FYI- Capital Armory can also deliver to you in Texas.

The suppressor I have took a 380 day wait, several years ago. I've thought about ordering another, but at my age I don't even buy green bananas.

Funny, I was just at the Gun Shack in Helotes on Friday and was told it's currently a nine month wait as well...

I think it was a fair price..but saved me the trust fees.

The .22 can was a bonus. That will go on my dedicated .22 upper.

If you plan to acquire more NFA items in the future it may be advantageous for you to set up a fixed trust. A competent estate/firearms lawyer can set you up. Cost is usually around $300.

Warning. Suppressors are like Crack. Once you get a taste, you are hooked for life. Every time I say I have enough, I find a reason to buy another one.

I’m not very smart on NFA trusts but I did ask if this was somehow exclusive to Silencer Central or could I buy from some other retailer? They told me I could use the trust to buy any NFA item.

I plan to look deeper into it but maybe someone can educate me on this…??

That wasn’t my impression, and I think my interaction was good. He answered all my questions. I didn’t buy on the first call.

That said, I don’t doubt your words. Most salespeople are pushy from my experience.

Even services like Silencer Shop's Single Shot Unlimited will create a new trust for every item (they just charge you one upfront fee). There are pros and cons. I prefer one "legacy" umbrella trust that also has some estate planning worked into it.

Congratulations. Be aware that it might take another few weeks after approval to actually receive your cans as SilencerCentral does not release them to you until they have confirmed receipt of your CLEO notification by the named party.

I've bought a couple suppressor's from Silencer Central back when it was Dakota Silencer. Never had any issues with them.
I'd buy from them before I'd ever deal with Silencer Shop.
