I picked up a really nice P-12 and have been shooting it a lot. The last time I stripped it down for cleaning, I found that the recoil spring cup at the front of the slide has a "v" shaped crack in it around the indexing key. Does anyone know where to find parts? Para Ordnance hasn't returned two emails in a week and a half.

EGW… and it looks like they don’t have them now.
EGW has a guide rod kit that can replace the double spring and cup that the gun had as OEM. I bought it from the brother of the original owner so I have very limited info on the thing. But I really enjoy it!

That would have been the OLD Remington arms. I'm betting the new owner of the name can't help ya.

Local gun dealer had some Remington rifles separated. I asked why. He said the older stuff has no warranty or support so he discounted them and set them on the end. Also said he has the new stuff to sell off, but probably won’t buy more. Remington is kind of done I think. They do have an Alpha 1 rifle i want to check out. But that might be my last Remington I every buy.

I do like the two Para Ord’s I have, made in Canada…

Hope it works out for you. And good to know that EGW has some parts….

I know where a reliable, accurate, and smooth recoiling Canadian P13 lives. If it ever breaks something….
It works flawlessly. I can't recommend them strongly enough. The guide rod kit for perfectly and brought a new level of consistency to its grouping.
