Actually, everywhere now, especially in all large cities.

We have young criminals running loose, shooting both one-another and innocents.

Our revered 2A is under constant attack by those who would disarm us all.

Our ‘’Gordian Knot’’ seems to be this: ‘’How could we disarm only those likely to commit violence while preserving the Rights of regular citizens ?

Even from where I sit, somewhat isolated, it is easy to identify which small social group is committing most of these nocturnal ‘’gun crimes’’.

Once something terrible happens, we then see lengthy records of numerous prior police encounters & warnings.

Our Courts hide behind special ‘’Juvenile Justice Rules’’, and bow to criminals’ family pressures, instead of protecting the Public.

Yet, if we point this out; we are accused of being ‘’racists’’.

Does anyone have an answer ?

Restore the nuclear family structure as the center of modern society by eliminating the incentives that undermine it.

More than that - incentivize stable family structure in social welfare programs, as well as incentivinzing getting off said programs and into decent jobs.

Right now the system is rigged to keep the poor dependent on the government and out of the workforce...which leads to crime among people with enough to get by on but nothing more. And quite intentionally, from what I've seen.

But liberal DA's want it to be, and will try to prosecute it as one...and in some cities they succeed.

On the face of it, Deemus & PDiddy, I would agree with you, but in reality, Zod is right.

Might want to revisit threads like below, Rittenhouse, and countless others

. Self defense shootings are regularly prosecuted as murder. Get a politically motivated DA and a bad jury, you're facing the death penalty.

Mayor Rudy had it right in New York when he addressed low level crimes to help clean up the city. If you don't prosecute low level crimes, you embolden criminals and you make the law abiding feel unsafe and they stop giving a damn. "Broken Window Theory" I think they called it.

You prosecute vandals, petty thiefs, pimps and pushers to the fullest extent of the law. It starts a snowball effect. You keep the momentum going and you prosecute the bangers and the thugs to the fullest extent.

The problem is the DA's office - you have to have a DA with a brain and the will to actually prosecute criminals.

When you refuse to prosecute the low level shit, you won't prosecute the "real" crime either and you wind up with lawlessness.

The criminals are bold. The "petty" crimes aren't so petty anymore. We had a vehicle at work the other day where thieves came in and stole the rims & tires off of a nurse's SUV, in broad daylight. We've had cat thieves doing their dirty deeds in the daylight hours, or roaming the parking garage. They're fast, they're brazen. You know they didn't just decide to grab a sawzall and and impact wrench one day and start a life of crime. That shit started with lower level crimes first and they work up to that.

Houston and Harris County need to toss the libs on their ear - but the demographics (and I'm not talking race) are just-so so that turds like SJL and Turner, and Dora, and Kim Ogg keep getting elected. The criminal element that aren't felons vote for the soft on crime types.

I read the comments section on a video the other day - showing wild ass parties at a particular gas station in the hood. The scummy "locals" and hoot rats bitched about gentrification, bitched about efforts to clean up the neighborhood and stop the animalistic behaviors - the ghetto mentality is pervasive and hilarious with the "we waz here first, don't move here if you don't like the hood" bullshit. Here's a thought - grow the **** up and stop acting like animals and thugs? People don't want to deal with rager parties in gas station parking lots at 1AM when they have to work. People don't want drunks, druggies, and thugs wandering around their apartment complex. The owner of the station doesn't LIKE the shit - he puts up with it because if he cracks down, they'll come rob him or burn his shit down. There's already talks of the city shutting the business down because of the out of hand nature of the crowds that gather there.

I have long believed that three strike (felony) criminals should get the death penalty. Three felonies is enough to know that this person isn't fit for a civilized society. Also, the execution shouldn't be by lethal injection. Hell, we'd all like to go out that peacefully if we had a choice. It should be something scary, like hanging, electric chair, gas chamber, quartering, etc.

life sentences without parole are cruel punishment it would be more humane to put them to death!we are simply warehousing them away from society and nothing more!

Can you cite a case? I look for cases like these when I am debating those Everytown mothers in Twitter claiming they are not after us.

Currently the one on most people's minds is George Allen Kelly in Arizona. Even though there's a good chance he didn't shoot anyone, and and may have just happened to have fired "warning shots" (never do this by the way) at a group of trespassers the night before a body was dumped on his land. He's being railroaded and treated like a murderer even though he was dealing with a group of armed people trespassing on his land.
