Man...St Patrick's day. A day of stereotypes and hurtful distortions of my Irish heritage. If I wasn't so drunk I'd go kick someone's ass over it.
Here, Coonass leftovers always make you feel better after St Paddy had his shot:

    Inconel?

    Hastalloy??
Inconel is actually a brand name, although many welders call the nickel based alloys Inconel even if didn't come from, I believe, Special Metals Corp. Hastelloy is another brand name from Haynes, not often mentioned. Both are considered super alloys, which I was certified to weld, mainly in piping because of their corrosion resistance to salt water.

Good morning. Trying to get fired up to do a brake job on my kid's car. Not just a pad slap - four new rotors. The only thing I dread is the rear brakes where you have to screw in the pistons. I've got a "universal" tool to do that, but it's a PITA.

I'm trying to get fired up to finish my plumbing that I've been working on. Colder weather isn't helping my enthusiasm.

All right...theoretically I have a big day ahead. Finally got my new grinder belt and things have dried up outside so I can get back to surfacing Hoji's cleaver...plus I need to give a quick surface grind to those two new blades I forged, and I need to holepunch and bend the four coat hooks I sold on Etsy that need to ship Monday. Oddly, my weekends have a way of cluttering up right when I thought they were going to be free and clear. Let's see what happens.
