Letting everyone know that my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield in .40 caliber was stolen last night. My car's passenger window was broken while my car was parked at Fast Eddies Tavern in Round Rock. Serial no. HPV3028. Already reported to the Round Rock Police Dept.

His car would still have been broken into unless they knew he stashed his gun. The only gun I leave in a vehicle is a Taurus, not that my Taurus has ever failed but because it is inexpensive.
If i may have to leave a gun in a vehicle I carry one of my less expensive ones, but it's bad there are places we are restricted from carry. Criminals appreciate the laws giving them access to our guns.

Folks wonder why I say never leave a gun unattended in a vehicle.

You wouldn’t do it with a kid or dog so why do it with a gun?

Hope somebody doesn’t end up dead over this.

So this would be a new type of violence. People who leave possessions in their cars are responsible for millions of deaths committed by felons. The bad guys are not responsible, it is those nasty car owners.
I am just pulling your leg. I know your point but a thief that wants a gun will get one no matter what. The point about having to disarm before going into a 51% place is the real problem. I don't drink but have to disarm if the place is 51% or has a sign restricting me. I can be illegal or leave my gun in the car. Why is the constitution invalid at the post office? I know I am preaching to the choir and will shut up.
