I didn't realize Texas had deer outside of ranch deer.

Everything I came across outside a ranch looked more like a greyhound with antlers.

I guess I’m lucky here because I haven’t noticed a decline in the numbers of whitetail that frequent my place.

It appears East Texas did not have a noticeable decline based upon what I am seeing. Lots of fawns in spots, and plenty of big boys running around my place. A bunch of turkeys, jakes, also have been visiting my feeders.

Less dead deer on 380 this year for the rut. The construction may have something to do with it but we timed the rut but the huge increase of deer becoming stupid and getting hit by cars. Have only seen 1 this year.

It seems you looking for a business hookup to find someone to do this work. Conducting business via an account on TGT is commercial use and requires a commercial account.

Your case is atypical, though, and I can understand there being confusion. There's little or no B2B dealings on TGT.

When you get to 25 posts, PM texcross and let him know what sort of business you are and what you're seeking here. He gets final say in all things that might be considered commercial activities. And he's going to need to make a call because this situation isn't explicitly visualized by the rules as written.

Thanks for the heads up. I am not looking to hire anyone for any service...simply seeing what TGT members are also involved in the TX Exotics Industry. Just trying to meet some folks in that space is all.

Incorrect( well body size you are correct, but lack of real winter plays a huge part in that ) but you can get some phenomenal antler growth on low fence if you cull trashy antlered deer and does. View attachment 361709 View attachment 361712

Not sure about exotics... but my buddy told me a TP&W biologist told him that we lost 57% of the deer population from the 3 months of 100+ degrees summer. My suspicion was confirmed. My deer population damn near disappeared.

I was told the Y O was hit very hard by the " freeze ".

Oddly enough our low fence lease out in Val Verde has a free-ranging axis herd and we didn't notice a decline with the big TX Freeze.

Has been described as a “Rebuilding Year” to put it in sportsball terms.

Far fewer deer in my area of west Bandera County than ever in 30 years.

That's disappointing...
