I'm spitballing, same as you. I don't have the guns, but i know how they work, and i am making educated guesses. We know the guns have flaws. And said flaws can absolutely lead to a gun going bang.

Why aren't guns going run away? Most discharges happen in holster it seems. They will typically restrict the slide from cycling, and as I've said, not all guns are the same. None. Not one. You know how ever person has a different fingerprint? A gun is 60+ parts that all have fingerprints.

I'm wrong about how his ND occured? Then so are you.

There is only one company that is currently fighting against 9+ SIMILAR lawsuits.

Sig Sauer. Not glock. Not ruger. Not hk. Not Beretta. Sig.

If you go to the police and ask them to look into your sig, they will tell you to f**k off. In the off chance they agree, Sig will sue you for attempting to release their TDP/trade secrets, and you WILL loose that battle.
Sig is also the company that is top for having money and sales.

You may want to do some searching on the various lawsuits brought against other manufacturers.

Are you aware of any lawsuit against sig that mentions this spring being broken? I searched through the recent lawsuit with 21 plaintiffs and found no mention of that spring being broken in any of their guns. Maybe it’s out there somewhere in another lawsuit that I haven’t read through. Not saying the spring isn’t a problem, but it’s not what this group is suing over. It wasn’t a problem in Guays gun, or the officers that he based his case on. So is it not possible that the spring is garbage but has nothing to do with the ND’s?

How many total ND’s are you aware of with the sigs that you think are caused by a faulty gun, and what are you comparing that number against that makes it stand out? Or is it just the number of publicly known lawsuits?
Damn dude. Use some reading comprehension. There is only one gun company going through 9+ similar lawsuits at the same time.

    One.

And exactly why this was not discovered during normal maintenance and cleaning? Of the 500K P-320's in use, you would think that the problem would be much more common and there be a known way to reproduce. Without being able to reproduce the problem there is no case against Sig.
Most people aren't getting down to the SRS during normal maintenance.

Most people hardly shoot their guns, much less thousands of rounds through their pistol

That’s an assumption you make. Your argument is weaker than the spring itself.

If 9 people sue a manufacturer blaming them for a mass shooting, I wonder if that would make mass shooting their fault too.

I applaud you for even continuing the conversation. I thought about it for a second but realized it's not worth my blood pressure to debate this topic with someone who has their mind made up about Sig b/c of filed - and yet to be adjudicated - lawsuits.

My mind is made up on sig because they cut corners where corners should not be cut

Sticking civilians with lower levels of QC

Poor design choices, like using such a small and weak SRS, where walther, HK, and even Springfield armory/HSProduckt use much larger, more durable springs.

Incredibly poor finish quality on critical parts suck as the mag release.

The debate is if other companies have been sued. They have. But only sig is fighting 9+ lawsuits at the same time. No that is not proof of anything other than it is a fact that Sig is currently fighting over 9 similar lawsuits.

You all are picking the wrong fight on that, because sig is currently fighting 9+ similar lawsuits. No one else is.

    God damn

And speaking about poor designs, would any one like to talk about how you can easily bend the ejector during reloads?

    (Snarky subtitles not mine)

Sig is no stranger to metallurgy issues. Anyone remember the 365 launch issues?

Honestly I just think the discussions are interesting. Sometimes some really interesting information gets brought out in them.

I bought the P320 for my wife from grabagun and picked it up from my FFL, took it home without looking it over much. A few days later I took it out of the box, field stripped it, and thought that it felt so cheap, loose, and shabby, that I didn't want her to use it. This is back when they first came out. Unfortunately, or maybe not, she had a stroke and would never be able to use it, so I didn't waste my time in sending it back for their fix. I certainly would never have fired it. It just felt and looked like cheap junk. BTW, it was among the stolen guns and I hope it gives the thief a surprise.

The reporting mentions holsterd weapons going off. With witnesses testified they were holsterd and not touched and one on video of an officer exiting the vehicle as the gun went off in its holster with video proof his hands were no where near the weapon.

It mentions they are unexplained as they are unable to reliably repeat the incidents during testing.

Trying to find documentation but LEOs in AZ I still talk to related another story of the sig going off in a holster on video. A Tucson PD officer, that's the agency relayed to me and in a few of the online posts written about the incident thatbI have seen, was approaching the door of his substation with arms infront of him holding equipment and the gun fired in his holster as he was on video walking upto the door. Nothing is near the holster or gun.

We have 3 types of incidents,
    1 the drop safe issue.
2 the gun going off in the holster while the user is moving, i.e. getting into or out if vehicles moving thru stages at the range or simply walking or running
3 guns going off while in a holster with no movement or the desk incident where it fired in the desk.

I'm relaying incident where it is officially claimed there is video or witness testimony asserting no one was touching the gun at the time of discharge. I'm ignoring others and giving them no weight as they could be actual ND or just have no proof otherwise.

At this point there are a few opinions on the cause, springs metallurgy poor design, or a combination of these. There are also incidents where they can't say anything for sure except the guns fired on their own.

Regardless of ones fanboi status this should concern you. Like the remington 700 situation the truth will eventually come out.

For the dense or fanboi deranged I'm not saying the incidents with remington and sig are caused by the same issue, rather I'm saying the way the companies reacted are the same and the incidents will continue untill even the company has to admit the problem. Also I don't love lawyers or want anyone sued into oblivion or hate sigs guns strikers or any other retarded bullshit that has been insinuated.

Go on in ignorant bliss endowed by sig or continue to be suspect. It's up to you. As I said the truth is somewhere in the middle and with something that can kill someone unintentionally that should at least give you pause. Especially before you carry one or as a police officer, point one at someone.
