No, I've read and watched enough reviews of them, plus I found a 1911 that has never jammed or failed to fire for me for hundreds of dollars less than a Kimber. I don't need to have owned one to know I don't wish to own one because of their reputation for being unreliable.

Tell me, have you ever died in a fire? If not, how do you know being in a fire is a dangerous situation?

Your line of reasoning is seriously flawed. I'm willing to bet you're one of those folks who says he'd rather be "thrown clear" during a wreck than wear a seatbelt.

Then present some damn statistics and stop being a self-righetous hypocrite.
You sound butthurt because your “I rEaD oN tHe InTeRnEt” experience isn’t being valued the way you hoped.

    your fire comparison doesn’t work.

Your car wreck analogy doesn’t fit either. I don’t claim to have those statistics. I’m not the one opining based on having heard this one story about a gun once. I opined based on my personal experience with owning the guns. Me saying that the people talking about their QC don’t have the necessary information to be able to accurately say that their QC is worse than anyone else’s doesn’t mean I have that information.

    Nothing I said is hypocritical.

Ah, so the root of the problem is you don't understand the concept of "hypocrisy". Good, we're getting somewhere.

    Now, try to pay attention.

You have demanded statistical proof while dismissing anyone else's resoning as "anectodes".

At the same time, you provide nothing but anecdotal evidence. Sure, you've owned a few. So have others. Some guys here have even worked on them. But none of their personal experience counts, only yours.

Therefore, you are being a hypocrite. If you can't comprehend this simple fact, maybe you should stop trying to argue - you're making a fool of yourself. You may have noticed a distinct lack of anyone agreeing with you here. There's a reason for that.

Do you have a reading comprehension issue? The other person agreed that his information was anecdotal.

Some people think the earth Is flat unless they personally circumnavigate the globe.

Let's talk 9mm vers 45. Who has been shot by both as they are the only ones qualified to answer the question.l which is more effective.

Some say 9mm is for those who squat to pee whole others say 45 is for those who wear diapers.

    So in conclusion... "meh".
Like most stuff gun related, and people wont admit they really know nothing for sure, it's what ever tickles your prostate. Well for fanbois anyways.

Regardless of actual evidence people will rationalize anything to deification status.

Like saying god Carries a1911, he actually loves m&p. Or Glock perfection.

Oh and there are actually people who think jiminez makes a fine firearm.

A friend had a friend with a Kimber for sale. I bought it cheap.
As it came, it sucked. Totally unreliable.

I cleaned and oiled it. It still sucked.
    I tried different magazines. Poof!

    It's been 100% since.

    It's crazy when a 15 dollar magazine makes a 500 dollar difference.

I gotta hit the hay, but here's a video of a guy who got 80,000 rounds through his Kimber... built in the 1990s.

I look forward to the forum fisticuffs tomorrow. Night fellas.

Even a blind hog willoccasionally find corn.Finding one Kimber outof thousands made doesn't qualify as a testementof quality, especially when their failures an problems arewell known all over the internet. If I searched deep enough, I could probably find people that have great experiences and high mileage with Yugos!

As per @benenglish on 22lr Kimber's, I personally owned a Kimber 22lr conversion that did not fit a multitude of other manufacturers frames. I called Kimber and told them what it was doing, they told me to send it back. I ended up selling it to a guy that wanted to tinker with it. My dad also owned a Kimber 22lr conversion kit that he ran on an actual Kimber. It would only work with cci mini-mags (and not all that well) until he put some serious time into it and "tuned" it up.

Ah, another Kimber thread just like all the others.

I side with the numbers. Kimber produced more 1911s than anyone else for many years (and may still) so you'll see many more complaints about them. That's just the odds given how many are out there and QC suffers when you produce that many of anything.

Mine were all fine and my buddy's were all fine but others definitely have issues. Keep in mind that the bad ones are the ones you hear about.

If they all suck how are they still in business? That's the numbers.

Like them? Great. Hate them? Great. Either way you can't say they're all bad or all good.

    I'd buy one again.
