New York Bagels is just down Hillcroft from me.

It’d be great to figure a way to make that happen.
The wife didn't know what to get her pumpkin head dad for a birthday one year so I suggested a dozen bagels over the cigar that I had to go pick out & never get reimbursed on.

Her dad liked that then it got out of hand with him wanting 2-3 dozen them all time for free. I guess he was making up up for money spent raising her

How God and the Chili Queens intended it to be.
Your link doesn't work for me for some reason, even if I google search back to it, I dunno, but...

The Chili Queens had it right...

    Chili doesn't have beans...

If it does, it's 'chili with beans' or 'chili and beans'.

Growing up behind enemy lines lots of the greasy spoons that did hamburger’s did chili. The whole Rt. 66 thing was up where I grew up & was a major trucking route.

Chili with saltines or oyster crackers were how it was served and it came both ways with or without beans. People up there never had the great debate over beans. People didn't eat it with corn bread or all the other things that turns a hot bowl of chili into a luke warm dairy product with sour cream & cheese.

of course thru the mower mirical of TV and shit every thing has been bastardized. My mom chili sucked & was pretty close to to her spaghetti sauce. You always had the option of peanut butter sammiches.

A little trivia about chili sauce on spaghetti .... in the 60s-70s Kips Restaurants offered that on the menu with cheese and sliced jalapenos on the side. Several employees there told me it was one of if not the most popular items on the menu

That makes sense - they have pretty much all the necessary ingredients - just add some spices & peppers to the onions, tomato, and beef they already have on hand at any reasonable burger stand.

I wanna add some brisket to my chili recipe.

    Maybe some pork butt too.

    That would be heart chili.

    Replace the beef with brisket.
Replace one of my sausage with butt.
Brisket is really over priced. Watch for Chuck or shoulder roast to go on sale, & cook them as a pot roast then shred.
    Pork butt smoked & pulled
Chili meat has its pros & cons. I never seen chili meat until I became a meat cutter. Never seen it before Texas.
