When I was a kid a so called friend broke into our home and took so many guns and ammo he left a trail down the street. It wouldnt matter cause all the neighbors saw the kid carrying an arm full of rifles and pistols down the street and all knew who he was.

You dont catch the smart ones.

The cops got most of them back. A stupid wanna be gang called pico nuevo bought them from him. What ever the phuck new peak is supposed to mean. It was the mid 70s and they were a bunch of punks.

One day almost 20 years later I'm sitting at my desk doing paperwork on new arrivals and see a name I recognized. Not unusual as I saw some guy I grew up with or knew probably monthly but I had to laugh when I realized it was that little prick. He was a bully who I hadn't seen since he was arrested for stealing our stuff.

I go down to his cell open the door tell his cell mate to kick rocks and scared the shit out of him. The bully, like most, ended up being a tiny little man who almost shit himself when he saw me and realised who I was. I said you still owe my dad restitution, I hope you like working your ass off for 10 cents an hour and it all going to him.

Sometimes good things come to those who wait.

No my dad never got his restitution. He got tired if chasing him around and filing for it every new job he started.

Just got a call from deputy Vaughn letting me know the sig that was stolen has been tested and ready to be picked up at the court house. Tomorrow is my brothers dialysis day so I think we are gonna drive over on Thursday and pick it up. So that makes two out of the three found and returned. The only one left is the Rem rifle I posted about. He did tell me he has an APB out to all the pawn shops to be on the look out for it. I have to say the Harris Co. sheriff's office has been great to work with and they have been on the ball about the case and getting the suspects arrested and most of out property back.
I also talked with deputy Francis that is handling the criminal side of the case and they are about to pick up the suspects again. They are only going to charge them with burglary only. No charges with felony possession of a fire arm or stolen property so I fear they are gonna get off light.
Anyway getting 2 out of the three guns back is at least some good news.
Please keep a look out for the rifle as it's still out there somewhere.
Thanks for all the comments and help.

Did he explain why they are not charging them with felony possession of a fire arm or stolen property. They always seem to drop the weapons charges, but these jackholes cry for more Laws.

We are all human and we all make mistakes. However these guys burglarized a bunch of homes at gunpoint. To make one mistake is one thing, but to go on a spree of burglaries is another. I really would like to see them turn there life around and become better people instead of becoming carrier criminals. Part of me wants to see them get the max and the other just wants them to turn there life around. The question is how do we balance the two?
Breaking into homes isn't a mistake, it's a crime. Do the crime, do the time!

I think they should be charged with.
    1. Auto theft
    2. Felony fleeing
    3. Miner in possession of a fire arm
    4. Possession of stolen property (30 counts)
    5. Burglary of a residence
    6. Breaking and entering
    7. Trespassing on privet property
    What else am I missing?

    I forgot resisting arrest.
    Speeding.
Using a fire arm in the act of a felony crime.

Out of 13+ possible charges they only want to charge them with one? How sad is that. The criminal system is clearly broken.

Take a page from Islam. Indentured servitude to those they stole from. When the indentured servitude is completed, cut off their hands.

    Hey everyone
About 3 months ago my brothers house next door was broken into by 2 kids (14 and 15 years old) . They came in at gunpoint and stole 3 guns.
They were caught the next day and the police did recover 2 out of the 3. However one has still not been recovered. It was a Remington nylon 66 .22 with the rare green nylon stock.
This rifle was my dads rifle that he bought back in the early 1960's. Both me and my brother grew up learning to shoot with that rifle. My dad passed away back in 1986 and that rifle has great sentimental value. Please be on the look out for it. If you see it please let me know. I will pay a reward for it's return. Serial number unknown. It was stolen in the greater Houston area.
    Thanks
