Yeah...my real weakness is for the .22 Magnum...at one time I had 5 rifles and 2 handguns in .22 mag. Sold/traded a couple of them off, but still have a soft spot for that cartridge.
Plus ammo won't drain the wallet as much. My buddy had a .22 conversion for his 1911. After shooting up 45 ammo switches to.22

Just finished a mossburg 151m with a weaver #3 scope mount and a weaver G4 scope.
All period matching, from the late 40s to early 50s.
Stripped the stock and refinished with walnut stain and satin poly.
    Gun shoots like new.
    .22 LR.
Will finish a Winchester 74 tomorrow, same design- tube fed in the butt stock, .22LR.

This is a cheap 10-22 that I found in a pawn shop..I really liked the stock so I decided to change it up a little. I put a Kidd barrel and trigger on it. (had to open up the stock to make it work). Put a cheap Cabela's .22 scope on it and was really surprised at how well it shoots. Fun plinker.

Love the gun. Not a digi camo fan though. That pattern retired with my ACUs.

    ^^^^^^^^

The Kidd Supergrade receiver has a serial number, the complete rifle was shipped to my FFL
Then wouldn't that mean it is no longer a 10/22? I don't believe Kidd is licensed through Ruger to call theirs a 10/22. If you started with a Ruger 10/22 and switched all the parts out, you should then be able to rebuild the original rifle.

Although I changed out almost everything on my Ruger 10/22 (mostly Volquartsen parts), it's still a 10/22 because the receiver casing is original, and maintains the same serial number.

Don't get me wrong, that rifle is nice!

When Ruger announced in 2016 they were discontinuing the 77/22 from their line up, I ordered this one in 22LR from Acusport. I thought someone will buy it.........it sat on the shelf for 5 years. A lot of people looked at it, a very few said they would come back and buy it. But at $725.00 it sat.

I told my wife if we retire before it sells, I will take it home. It didn't and I did. Been looking for a decent rimfire scope to mount on it since January. Recently came across this NOS Nikon 4X32 rimfire.

    Ready for squirrels.....

Got a free, non-working Stephens 56 and the guy wasn't sure what was wrong with it. Clearly bubba was there first and tried to fix it long ago and failed. its not perfect as the bolt will still sometimes slide out the rear under normal operation, but a little mineral spirits, replaced firing pin, replaced 2 springs, removed springs that were buried and encrusted under plungers and it fires just fine now. Oh, and had to un-tweak the magazine springs and mag well. Fun little project that only cost me $34 because of $7 in shipping.

I just love these dead simple .22's, even the semi-auto ones made in the 50's-70's. They made a kajillion of them and even today they don't go for much more than $100 and work well even after countless boxes of .22, neglect, little billy showing it off to his pals long before I was even born. Maybe survivor bias but they just are cool.

Last one that I seen for sale they was asking 550 for
Yeah, I wanna say new they were close to $400, now people want $600+ for them. Should say something to manufacturers to just make nicer and prettier guns sometimes and they'll sell. So confusing why they do limited runs on stuff.
