There are tons of locals that go there. I have eaten at restaurants in that center 100 times. Its a very high end area.

But they are mostly pretty wealthy, which usually translates to sissies.
I've actually been there, that's what made me click on it originally. Sadly, money does translate to sissies, or people to afraid to step up in this day and age. It's sad we live in a the world where trying to right a wrong could land you sued or in jail....

Perhaps we should be careful of assuming the whole "living in that area equates to sissy" thing. I happen to live in one of those nice areas nearby, and no one in my family, including my young children (God bless their little souls) would have stood for this occurring in front of them. Most of my neighbors would have intervened as well (I state that as a fact proven by similar previous actions).

There are plenty of people willing to allow evil to go on around them in both the city and country. I have lived in both, and while the manners tend to be better the further away from the city you get, there is still plenty of evil to go around in both.

Now if this was my previous boss I’m sure he’d ask the lady being abducted to stop yelling. It’s interrupting his meal.

Sounds like I’m kidding but it would probably go down like that. That guy was the definition of narcissist.

Don't get me wrong, we have plenty around here that could use being thrown in the lake a couple of times in winter to toughen them up a bit, but we're not all bad apples ;)

Money is a temptation. It only fuels what’s already inside people. All of us would change or accept the challenge that it brings. Some guys like my former boss are rotten to the core. I say that without holding a grudge. Some people are truly terrible.

That is actually a lot better way to describe the issues with people around here. Its not that they are particularly better or worse at their core, but the money I think allows for a lot more of the dark side to come out, especially in ways where people think they can buy their way out.

I do wonder on this if there is a lot more video that we aren't seeing where an actual intervene occurred. They don't show here actually getting away and the statements by the DA imply a lot more happened than what we saw. I wouldn't be surprised if someone actual drew down on the kidnappers, but of course the media doesn't want to show a good guy with a gun fixing a situation. I will try to ask around to see if I can find out if we are missing part of the story.

Yeah. The DA is why I figured aggravated kidnapping or something related to abduction. As far as I understand Texas law it’s ok to use deadly force. That’s also in hindsight. That video had no sound and if we didn’t know she was being held against her will for sex for a year; i agree I’d like to hear what happened. I would think she would yell for help.
