He does have a collar though, doesn't he?

And probably chipped, too. The dog can’t speak, but the dog knows a human will take care of it until the owner shows up.

On the two occasions our lab got out, she found a nice place to just hang out at until we found her. Once, after wandering, she curled up under a tree in a front yard, looking towards the street. The people occupying the place set a water bowl out for her and she hung out for the thirty minutes or so we were looking.

The other time, she joined up with a family walking the neighborhood. Went for a joyride, so to speak. When we found her walking with the family, she gave them a look that said “Thanks for helping me out,” and just kind of loped on over to us. We put her on the leash and talked with the family for a bit just to hear the story.

That's what we are thinking, he literally came in and was like yup this is my home now. Our boss took him to the vet and they drew blood, checked for a chip and gave him a rabies shot. So he is here to stay. :)
That's great. Dogs are pretty intuitive about people. He's good looking dog and glad to see he's going to be around people that will care for him like he deserves.
