My last range trip was August 21st. Probably the longest stretch in 8 years. Got plenty ammo, just can't get motivated. I know I need to keep up with it, but standing there shooting at paper is not as fun as it used to be. I need to shoot some tin cans or water jugs. Anything that reacts.
I buy store brand cases of soda on sale and shake them up. Cheap and easy.

If you dont have a private ranger on your property, time to change things

Nothing like doing a few full auto mag dumps to put a smile on your face and make you forget all your problems

Went to The Range in Austin this week. Ran through about 3 mags zeroing and playing with my RMR equipped G17. It was a quick trip

I should be embarrassed to say that I work at a gun shop & have a private range in my backyard .... and it's been about a month since I shot last. Like others have mentioned, don't wanna shoot up the cheap bought ammo to have to buy the newer expensive ammo to replace it.

Finally went shoot. I went to an outdoor range on Thursday. I got ready to leave, after firing only 9 rounds, when four folks showed up in a pick-up truck and parked in the range lot. My experiences at said range tell me it is usually not safe to shoot there when others show up. I was right to start packing before they even got out of their vehicle. Here are a couple of photos showing just one instance of their safety violations. I took the pics as I was about to drive away:

Yes, in both photos, both women are downrange when the guy at the 2nd bench on the other end of the range is ready to shoot. Not my idea of range safety to have someone on the line handling a weapon let alone apparently being sighted in and ready to fire when others are downrange. I drove away, did not want to wait around to see if they got shot.y

Then went to an indoor range yesterday to test fire two Glock 19 pistols that I had purchased recently. Shot about 250 to 300 rounds. After coming over to loom at my targets, the owner of the range tried to get me to join a competitive shooting group for competitions he runs at that range. I declined, I am not into competitive shooting but it was nice to have him compliment my shooting and ask me to join in.

Seams like we are neighbors, I understand the outdoor range you are talking about. I try to only shoot there alone. The unsafe practice of firearm handling at the range gets scary . I shot Friday at the indoor range you are probably talking about. Only comment from the owner is I didn't stay as long as I normally do.

I usually shoot 1 or 2 pistols a week while at an indoor range as a safety officer. I need to get some time with rifles at an outdoor range.

Been about a year for me but the wife and I went out yesterday and had a great time. 2 Larues and a Wilson Combat had their first rounds in them.

Haven't been to the range since Friday and Saturday. Go once a week for the last 3 and a half years now. Missed very few weeks. Bought a new Sig P365 XL with Zero Romeo to go with my standard Sig P365.
I'll show that doctor that told me my back is too bad for me to play golf.

I will admit I am lacking my range time with handguns and rifle but instead going to shotgun ranges or clubs helping my daughter with her skeet, trap, and sporting clays.I have been shooting more shotguns than ever in the last four years and will have to for a few more years.

    That place east of Waco....
Lately, I've spent more time and money renting guns at the range than shooting my own guns. I need to reverse that trend....

....at least I don't have to clean the rental guns.

I actually really enjoy the cleaning process. I show my kids how to do it as well.
