But you got the vaccine so your job is safe and secure for complying, and they didn't even have to force it on you.

    Bravo.
They said it could become mandatory, people started getting it so I did, so it could be that way in the end.

By the way am I now being ostracized on an internet forum because I complied with my companies bullshit tactics, lol. Go ahead and ask me some tough questions. Also, do you have a family to support or are you retired and living on a pension? Don't have any worries do you?

I hate Black Lives Matter, the organization, not the idea. Now I'm siding with BLM over the New York Mandates, and it sucks that politics pushes me there.

You put it out there in the open, so now deal with the comments.

Someone may "force" me to comply, even by using extortion and threats of losing my job, but I damn sure wouldn't do it willingly.

Seems like going to your execution and paying the executioner to do his job! Or paying for the rope they hang you with.

Just maybe had you shown some resistance, others might have followed your lead and put up resistance as well. But you didn't, did you?

Seems to me he's just not as "anti-vax" as some of us and it wasn't worth the fight to him.

I don't care if someone gets it. I just don't want it forced on me. But I'm also very anti-this-vax.

Why is it any of your business though?

Well, it is an open discussion.

I'm just posting an opposing opinion.

I was actually pro vax, that is until something about this vax just didn't smell right. I did my research and that made me flat out reject it. The mandates to me is overreach. If anything the mandates told me that my research is right. I am now hesitant for any vax, for fear that it's not really for my health. My trust in government and health institutions has evaporated.

I indeed put it out there in the open, it's what I did in my situation, it was brought up in a thread meant for people to reply to on this forum so I replied. Deal with the comments, OK, I don't care, dealt with now. I just found it humorous that I'm supposed to feel like I'm shunned now, lol. Seems like some of the same tactics my company used on me in the first place. Did I want the jab, no, did it because I know good and well no one is going to back me up if I go down financially.

I'm not pro vax at all, did it to save myself and my family from possible financial ruin.

No one is shunning you. I just know many would have forced the issue of putting forth some resistance before complying if the vaccination was made mandatory as means of continued employment. Some of us would made them have to resort to termination.

It was your decision and I hope it works out for you. As long as you aren't pushing it on me, I see no problem.

I on the other hand look at it this way. If I give into gun control on just one issue, will it end there? If I give into vaccine mandates, will it end there?

The problem is there's only twelve of us in the Dallas office. All of us were hesitant but people started complying, me and one other guy would have stuck out like a sore thumb. Two guys against the HQ in Atlanta, that's a losing battle.

I think it's a different comparison. I see the similarities but not enough to make the connection.

But I don't have a job where mandates will affect me either.

Now don't go thinking I'm some kind of Karen, lol. The bad thing about the internet is you only read words on a page, you don't actually know the people behind them. If only you knew me..... actually that might scare some people away from me, lol. Somewhere on this forum is the thread from the January 6th protest. I meant what I said there, no one else wanted to join me then, that would have been worth the pain and suffering and even my death, not sure my family would agree though, Anyway, I made my choice on the vax crap, if I made a bad choice and let others down then I guess I'm guilty, I've screwed up a lot of things before so it's nothing new for me,

Wish I had a union to back me up, nothing for the little man. And to those that think we should just up and quit and look for another job, can you pay my bills and mortgage while I'm looking? The whole tech industry is being farmed out to India and Pakistan, I'm sure I'll find a job that pays the same quickly in this market. I also have a bridge to sell too if anyone is interested.
I'm in a union and it's not looking like they have the stomach to out up any fight. We have been told if a company demands it it's your choice, get it and work, or get laid off.

They are putting up even less fight than you did.....

There is my jab. Seriously though, nobody cares that you got it. I'm happy you had the choice. Like others have said I just don't want it forced on me. I doubt they will drop the pressure or give us back any freedom or right to medical privacy after this is over.

I have e several coworkers that DID get the jab and are refusing to disclose it to the company on principle. It really helping several of us that are actually against it.

I am in your boat, I have mouths to feed, and honestly if push came to shove I'd get it. Id be unemployed for a while before I got desperate enough, and I sure as hell wouldn't go back to the company that fired me for not getting the jab. But my kids wont starve.
