So today's 7-day ban came almost immediately after I posted a reply to a reply to a post I made.

I held a gun to an Afghan rebel's head an made him denounce the United States. no, wait, that wouldn't have gotten me banned.
I pushed a gay Muslim off the top of a 10-story building. No. That wasn't it.
I made a woman dress head to toe and let my cousins rape her. I posted the rape time schedule on FB. Nope. That wasn't it. That was allowed.
I organized a jihad against all westerners using FB. No, no ban for that either.

    Here's what I posted:

"I killed all of them indiscriminately. Young and old. Boys and girls. And boys who think they're girls. And girls who think they're boys. They all die the same."

    Pretty "ban-able" on the face.

Of course, here was the preceding post to which this was a reply (I'm paraphrasing, since I'm blocked on FB now):

"So, do you shoot kids that are just in the double digits age or do you shoot single digit aged kids too?"

This was a reply to a fairly long post that got a lot of hate mail which was a reply to an advertisement for some gloves that you can punch walls with and someone asked if you can wear them for airsoft. My post was basically:

"I'm 48 and played airsoft with my nephews. I'm fat and have no cardio conditioning. It was pretty brutal. But I got hit in the hands a lot with the pellets and it doesn't hurt. Toughen up, buttercup. It barely leaves a mark. It's a lot of fun actually and where else can you shoot a bunch of kids for an hour and high five them when you're done."

    That's the gist of it.

    So:

    Advertise for gloves
Reply to question about airsoft with personal experience
Get challenged by some snarky guy about "me shooting kids"
Reply by saying "I'll shoot all the kids"

Banned from FB. Fifth time. 7-days.

For the party of SNL/Comedy Central, they sure don't have a sense of humor. And they don't understand context. But I guess if I had a real gun and I was a member of the Taliban, it'd be okay. Maybe the "religious exemption?" (as long as you're not Christian, of course).

My fourth 7-day ban was for hate speech, by the way. Apparently saying "I found out I had a rich black uncle recently that I didn't know about who left me millions of dollars in Nigeria, but I'm just too white and lazy to claim" was hate speech. Banned. 7 days.

Could be a sign. I still have an account on FB, and have for many years. Some years ago, I un-friended a lot of people on my "friends" list because of differing political ideology. I was totally cool with that.

Now, I don't, and won't discuss my political beliefs or opinions on FB anymore. Simply because anyone that really knows me, already knows where I stand. No need to advertise it, or discuss it.

I simply use FB as means of communication with family and friends that don't live close. Nothing more than that now.

The whole idea of monetizing the people who want to put us in gulags is baffling.

Biggest excuse I see for people staying on these platforms is “ I use it to keep up with family and old friends”

Y’all can do that with your smartphone. If you don’t have their phone numbers, they are probably not that great a friend or family to begin with.

Oddly enough, though, you are part of the problem...and represent the final solution.

By that I mean, they want to control you. You let them control you. Now you only post content they'll approve of. It worked. Now into the showers with you.

Of course, in your mind you're saying "choose your battles. I'll use FB for what suits me within their odd TOS". But to say "I avoid politics on it" is saying "since my politics don't match what they say they should, I won't post it for fear of losing access for what I enjoy it for."

Shakespeare said "to thine own self be true." Even Jesus said to Judas "you'll deny me three times..."

Of course, it's your decision to use it however and keep your politics to yourself or hushed since Mark Goebbels Dorsey will strike you down if you get out of line, but it sure would be nice to fight for what's right. Imagine if those guys in Boston just sat around at night quietly grumbling about paying taxes. Sure, it's not the government per se. It would be nice if FaceTwatter didn't abuse their monopoly to quash the existence of Gab, Parler, Rumble, etc.

I have it because we have two business pages with it. I posted many time to our 580 followers "please join us on MeWe (where I pay $2/mo to have the MeWe page). We can have free exchange of ideas there and post our guns for sale!" Exactly 7 people created profiles and followed us on MeWe. So, I'm on FB because, unfortunately, it's still where the community is. I have a truck for sale...Facebook. I need to buy a weight bench to hang my clothes on...Facebook. I need to let my customers know we are closed for Labor Day....Facebook and Google Business Page.

On my personal account, I have no picture and don't use a real name. I don't have my real birthday and I unfriended my wife because I don't care about her friends posts. I have no friends. On Facebook. And my one IRL friend I pretty much see every day so I don't need FB to keep up with him. I know what my wife looks like. I know that my dog loves me. Don't need FB on the personal level.

But I like to make my opinion known and make snarky comments on airsoft gloves because I think it'll matter to pretty much nobody. And for that, I keep my personal account open too. And it's required to have a business account.

I do ask people "if you needed $10, and you have 1000 friends on Facebook, do you think you could raise more than $50?"

How'd you get banned? I got banned a long time ago and I'm an instructor. Not sure how I got banned. Maybe I didn't pay hommage to the site publisher? Not sure. Hasn't affected my life, but you just reminded me I got banned many moons ago too. Weird.

Another member got banned and I was extremely pissed about it and complained to Charles Cotton (that s*it head) and I was banned too. Unless you kiss his ass you are banned.

I am so glad you gleaned all that useful information about me from my post.

First, I have never been banned on FB for political opinions I have made there in the past.

Second, I don't and won't discuss politics or religion on FB as a personal decision, and not one made by others.

Third, I don't care what politics FB endorses, condones or believes in. None of my business. And yes, FB has their TOS just any privately owned social media. Their house, their rules. TGT has TOS as well, and if you violate them, they can ban you as well. Don't like the rules, then leave. Seems pretty simple to me.

But wait, you have a business attached to one of your FB accounts! So you want to criticize their TOS, but avail yourself of their platform to make money? Wow!

You might really want to re-evaluate your thinking just a little and do some soul-searching deep in your own heart, before criticizing what I do on FB.

Never signed up for Facebook or any of those platforms, even MySpace. Don't have a smartphone either, so it is either texting, emails, or actual phone calls for people to reach me and me to them. I guess I like to keep things simple.

Life is better without it. I get people with a business want cheap advertising but even for 2 dollars a month what are you really getting? Some scammers? Friends? Gotta be better outlets to get product or service out there. I’d rather go do cold calls and build relationships. Hell with Facebook. Waste of money. Especially now with so many scams.

I think you and I are some of the few that don’t subscribe to most forms of social media. I do have a smart phone but that’s it.
I’ve considered FB a few times in the past. I am into some non mainstream musical acts that only have their touring schedules on FB then I see the mindless dribble posted on there. Quickly change my mind.

I do not know if mine was for saying "Joe and the Ho" or calling Joe the Taliban Employee of the Month.
