I wish I had a picture of my old Cheyenne Super.
1969. 396 ci. 400 turbo transmission. Short wide bed. White on red.
    Factory air.

I couldn't afford the fuel or tires.
Getting a '73 Challenger when I was 16 was probably not the wisest choice my mother made, but then gas was around 35 cents a gallon back then.

Pretty close to the one I had when I married my second ex-wife #2.

Mine was a !970 C10, SWB Fleetside, Hugger orange, with the white roof and rockers, black interior, 350 with TH350 trans, factory A/C. PB and PS.

    Not mine, but very similar.

Had a 70 GMC 3/4 ton camper special. No A/C and it took power to steer it . Came with a 307. Stuffed a 427 into it for a little while. Was nothing but one challenge after another. However, that 427 HP could move.

Wrong thread (should be tell us something we don't know), but early 70s Chevy short beds with 4WD were so rough-riding, that they came with an accessory kidney belt for the driver AND the co-pilot.

If memory serves .... For the mid 90's car ... The Caprice Classic was the plain jane car. The Buick Roadmaster was the same thing but somehow grew to be an even bigger bumper car than the Caprice. The Impala was directly based on the Caprice, and only offered as the Impala SS as the .. uh .. "performance" variant. Only three colors if I remember right.
I’ve seen them in dark green and black, what was the other color?

Weak motors in those. And in the 4 Runners. Seems that 6 cyclinder is just underpowered. A friend had a Highlander, and same thing.

I have a 4Runner with a blown head gasket. I am hesitant to replace it. If I could find a motor that has more power I would do it. I had to have it on the floor to get it to 75 on the highway.
I never had a desire to own a Foreskinner.

The Impala pre-dates the Caprice. The Caprice was originally introduced as a luxury trim package for the Impala in the mid 1960's.

At some point, I think the Caprice became a separate model from the Impala.

We have the two door hard-top sitting down here at the farm!

Not the same, but silver and very similar.

Believe it or not, I always preferred the hardtop to the convertible.
I bought it in 1987, only because you never pass up a big block convertible. They only made about 1,000 Satellite convertibles with the 383 in ‘66. Got rid of it in 2000.

It never ceases to amaze me the money that people blow on these vehicles to them drive them like a daily grocery getter. I've "rented" several ballistically expensive cars (Vipers, Ferraris, Mercedes, etc) but have never owned one. Heck My Navigator is the ony luxury vehicle Ive owned and it is just a grossly over priced Expedition! lol Rest assured if I had the coin ($100k) I wouldn't have bought that. I would have taken $50k and bought one of the cross plane V8 Mustangs instead. But to each their own.
    Still a Ford ...
