When I was in HS I wore a tired Fatigue jacket. I loved that jacket. Don't think I was tacitcool as the shoulder length hair and yellow motorcycle helmet I wore would give me away.
Wore that jacket until Uncle Sam took the hair and gave me a brand new fatigue jacket and fatigues too. I wore them with pride.

Been to the range with quite a few older guys and gotta admit that as a group their muzzle discipline sucked. And I always called them on it. Once brought to their attention most straightened right up. It was always worth the effort when one would stand tall, left hand in the small of his back, and one handed tear up a target. Muscle memory,

That is sorta funny from my perspective. After 24 1/2 years of service, I am not that fond of military clothing…didn’t even want to wear a hat for about 10 years…

Hah, I imagine it is a "have to" vs "want to".
Plus I'm sure there are about 100 things wrong with the way I wear stuff from a military perspective, so it is probably more comfortable
/ less work to put on, as well as simply not giving 1 single iota of a shit if my boots are shiny enough or if there is enough starch in my pants or whatever.

    I like the pockets though!

I am still waiting till some youtuber accosts me and accuses me of stolen valor, so I can accuse him of stealing my oxygen.

By the way, thanks for putting up with the uniform for so long!

Yeah, we were better off with BDU’s than the old fatigues…jungle fatigues in Viet Nam were okay too. It’s not as though I don’t like them, it is just not what I do now. My day is past (I still got some fight in me though) and I serve outside of uniform now. But I hate what is happening to our country nowadays…bringing the fight back in me. I have served our country for a large portion of my life, and now I think I would be considered an enemy. I didn’t change my view or values, but the country I fought for and will still fight for is being torn apart. Enough rant from me…

When someone in the shop pulls their gun out of their holster to show their gun to someone they just met, and I ask if the gun is loaded and they say no........

I expect the damn thing to be unloaded......don't be pulling your loaded weapons out to show folks...........

Safety, safety safety..........first and always foremost...........

I cannot count the number of rounds I've taken out of supposedly unloaded guns........
You got no business finger phucking your weapon to show it off.

    Over familiarity breeds contempt.

    1. People that pass off what they heard in a youtube video or read in a gun mag as their own opinion when they have absolutely no experience with said firearm or its intended use.

    2. Paid shills that "test and review" products that are not honest about how they are being compensated.

#2 reminds me of that sootch00 guy on youtube. Everyone of his videos is like a paid infomercial

All the people I have met that carry a weapon they have never shot. It is quite a few which is scary.

All the people that think I am clueless because I carry a wheelgun instead of a high capacity firearm with up to 8 extra mags. My question to them is how many times do you plan on missing. I don't plan on missing.

The keyboard commandos on gun forums. Those internet badasses telling everyone how weak or compliant they are for following federal gun laws and how we need to rise up and defy federal gun laws.

Or the ones that keep telling us to rise up and start a revolution against our oppressors.

    Oh well.
