Sherman academy has alot of ammo

9mm, 5.56, 38, 45acp 45lc, 12ga buck, 6.5 grendel and 308 hornady black

Wow! Wife & I were in the Sherman Academy yesterday and the inventory of ammo appeared to be gone. Some shotgun ammo was about it.

Yea I dont think they had a truck come yesterday. I was there in the evening since the wife had to go to ulta and there were a few boxes of x51 and 12 ga dove rounds

Snuck over the iron curtain into communist San Antonio earlier today specifically to visit an Academy. Giant sign outside the building making it clear masks were optional, so I went inside and found the ammo shelves bare (as expected). But my primary range has got a good supply of various ammo that covers most calibers for their normal high but not exorbitant prices.

Snuck over the iron curtain into communist San Antonio earlier today specifically to visit an Academy. Giant sign outside the building making it clear masks were optional, so I went inside and found the ammo shelves bare (as expected). But my primary range has got a good supply of various ammo that covers most calibers for their normal high but not exorbitant prices.

Both of the range stores I buy from have raised prices some, but not to rip-off level.. they can't afford to piss off their bread and butter customers.

Academy had a nice selection today, managed to scoop up a 200 box of 5.56 and 100 round box of .45ACP.
Still no hollow points though.

Academy had a nice selection today, managed to scoop up a 200 box of 5.56 and 100 round box of .45ACP.
Still no hollow points though.

I am down to 1200 or so .45 ACP JHP. The crisis is finally real to me.

Well so much for a dry week, went in today to find just about everything available. Wish I could've bought more than 2 boxes but at least left with something. You guys get in there and get some ammo!

Honestly, I am not buying at those prices. I am reloading for about 14 cpr. But yes, my local Academy has everything today.

Shoot if I knew how to reload I'd probably do the same. There's still some fair deals to be had but I have to agree the prices are on the rise.

Same here.... they got it and at what they're wanting for it they can keep it. Can't say it's Academy or the mfg's responsible for the price hike but a 100% increase in about 9 months seems hard to justify.

ETA: May end up regretting not buying when it was available. I reckon time will tell that tale!

The local store had a bunch of stuff today.
I got there late, about 12, and the .22LR was gone already.
Today they had 22WMR(couple/three different types), bunches of 9mm, .40, .45 as well as several centerfire rifle calibers, .22-250, 308, x39, 223, and even a small amount of 30-30. There was some other rifle stuff like .224V and such but I didn't make note of them.

The 9mm is the only one still within reason. About $16.99/50. Compared to gun shows where they ask 90 cpr, it's a winner.

When I started buying 9mm last June - 10.99/50. Winchester steel 150ct and up was around $0.17 cpr.
