Some dude in front of me bought a Henry All weather side gate in 45-70 at BPS in Sherman yesterday. I would have been posting pictures of it here if I had got to that store 10 minutes earlier

Had the high bids on three pistols and an air gun (still going to bid on some accessories and maybe ammo) in an online auction today. All were listed as new in the box or case:

    Beretta 92FS Compact:

There was a total of 33 Berettas in the auction plus all the other guns and ammo and accessories and such. Of the Berettas there were two shotguns, one carbine and the rest were handguns - one revolver and the remainder were semi-auto pistols. I bid on several and had to exhibit truly epic self control, kind of like Odysseus tying himself to the mast and listening to the Siren's sing their song, to not go crazy and bid above my self imposed bid limits on them. I did go over once, on the 92FS compact by $50 but that was kinfd of on my I gotta have it list and I really had not set a limit in concrete for that one; had it gone higher though, it would have belonged to someone else no matter how much I had wanted it. I figure I got good to very good prices on the 70S and Model 87 Target. I do not know if it's full but it looks like a box of ammo comes with the 87.

Many of the Berettas in the auction, including my three, were listed as 'as new in the box or case'. I asked the auctioneer, Joe Hessney, about that and he confirmed my suspicions, they all (or almost all of the 33) had belonged to a single Beretta collector and came to the auction house by way of his estate. Joe told me the man's wife had explained: her husband bought them new, fired them once, cleaned them and then put them away. She also told Joe that her hubby had been intent on collecting every type of Beretta pistol made. It seems he was well on his way to achieving that goal when it was cut short by his demise. RIP brother Beretta lover - rest assured, I will care for them well.

I also had the high bid on an air gun.

Gamo Hunter Super Sport .177 pellet gun listed as a new gun if only an air gun:

The Gamo will probably make it to my son's house in AR. He has a problematic squirrel in his shed that needs taking care of and if he does not trap it before I get there, this likely will terminate that problem without disturbing the neighbors. Got a decent price on it too, about $50 less than it used to sell for (that with the buyer's premium included) before it was discontinued.

Picked this up last week. Traded my wife's Shield EZ 9mm. She hated it. Don't blame her. She acquired my M&P 2.0. This Glock 45 9mm is tits.

15 and 20 yards respectively. Love the trigger much more and draw stroke is improving.
