    Anyone seeing primers available anywhere?

Talked to my brother (West Coast) and has found them at a local Sportsmen.

Surely if their getting them than we should!

Midway and Bass Pro/Cabelas seem to be the most reliable for getting them online but they go very fast. Other than that, nope.
Right now Bass P{ro Shop/Cabela's has supposedly shut down all online ammo sales including primers ( says "This product is not currently available online" maybe trying to build stock in stores?) and Midway shows all 5000 small pistol primer packs as out of stock, no back order and shows all 1000 packs as temporarily unavailable. Oh woe is me...

Midway had some CCI BR4's drop this afternoon. They were gone in about 30 seconds and they wanted $80/1k.

It will all come back around again. I feel like I've been through this so many times before. People say the same thing ..."this time is different", "it may never be the same", "they're going to do this and that".
I'm not that old but I've seen it often enough to not worry.

Like any other American industry, if there's money to be made the show will go on. There's zero chance that ATK, Olin or the numerous overseas producers are going to shut down. Just like the great 22 drought, it will all come back full cycle. The only reason box stores are empty is due to heavy neckbearding. If a non gun owner can flip one box of ammo for 75-100$ in profit of course they'll line up every day at academy and do it.

If Biden gets tough on Russia it just means we will be shooting more Ukrainian ammo for the next 4 years. Sadly primers will be the last thing to bounce back in huge supply since everyone has cranked up manufacturing. I give it maybe another year before we are flooded with European components.

Its the same industry that supplies LEO and DOD (and DHS and the Kalifornia Dept. of Education SWAT team,....). In one of the past panics/lawsuit-fest against the industry, I think DOD wrote a letter to one of the other 3 letter agencies expressing its concern over lawsuits & pointing out that it was a potential threat to National Security. Even now I believe the Lake City ammunition plant is being run by Winchester.
