Morning earthlings. Last work day until the 30th. I can do this.

And man the peddlers are coming out of the woodwork the last day or so with CTD pricing.

    $400 for a half-stripped BCM lower...lol.
If only... 10h OT shift tonight, 2 regular 10h days and another 10h of OT. Then two days off, I work another 20h-reg Wed and Thanksgiving :( then my regular 3 days off. I am a bit of an OT whore, but it pays for the extraneous things in life.

P.s. Yall make me laugh at your coffee antics. I *might* drink some every other month or so, with it a bit more often in winter as it helps me warm up after being on the moto at work.

Those bikes don't pay for themselves. ;)

And a cop that doesn't mainline coffee? What the hell? :o I didn't really drink coffee until I worked my PD job. Then it became perfectly normal to drink coffee at 9 PM...

I enjoy a ritual two cups of coffee in the morning now but it's not a requirement to sustain life. I could probably live just fine without it.

    Coffee antics?
Coffee is a serious thing, and I am not talking about the Karens and the pumpkin spiced latte stuff and the Fivebucks store.

When at the office most people ensure I am at least on my second cup of coffee before they approach me. That is after my half pot of double strength on the drive in to the office. Now with the COVID working from home thing..I am usually on about 05:30 or so and have the time to get enough caffeine in before others get online.

"Probably" but do we want to find out???

Up until a few months ago I was drinking Dr Pepper by the gallon, but weaned myself down to 50/50 sweet tea. I was consuming over half my daily Kcals in soda... it was bad, but it was cold. fizzy and sweet.

    Speaking of bikes...
    2 track (velodrome) bikes
    3 MTB bikes
    4 Road bikes
    1 bakfiets (box bike)
    2 kids bikes
A couple of spare frames and wheels.
Such is the garage of a married pair of bike racers with kids...

    Stuffed in there somewhere are
    2 KTM 300s
1 Honda 450x (my dez racer)
    1 BMW R1200GSA
    1 BMW R1200RT-P it's a rental ;)

No and neither do I! :D

Yep, that was me also. Realized that putting away 3 cans of Dr Pepper a day was doing me no favors. I crave one once in a while but haven't had one in months. Mostly I'm water and black coffee. A diet coke once in a while. A small Gatorade if I feel the need to drink something sugary. Nothing alcoholic.

Drinking almost none of my calories has been a big help for me.

Damn! You...have a few bikes. We have a couple of kid bikes plus my wife's right now. We ditched our older box store bikes earlier this year because they were in horrible shape and I didn't want to mess with any.

Now I'm shopping for my own decent bike.

They are not cheap, but if you have kids the Bakfits is a great option. Sturdy, kids love it, comfy and you can carry about as many groceries as a Honda civic... ours has been absolutely maintenance free in the 18m we have had it. Internal hub shifting and brakes. Its awesome.

That would have been awesome when they were smaller. At 9 and 6, they are too damn heavy. They can peddle themselves. :D

We did have a bike trailer that we used extensively. High end but I don't remember the brand. We bought it used and sold it for what we paid.

    Amateur.

30 years ago I was drinking 2 12-packs of Coke every day, minimum. Sometimes double that.

Truer words, my friend. I believe I could eat about as much sugar as I want most days and still keep my diabetes under control as long as I don't drink my calories. That's the single most important thing I have to remember when I eat. It doesn't help that my addiction still rages; there are days when I'd stomp a puppy's head for a Coke.

As of a few months ago, I passed the 350-pounds-lost mark. I've got another 75 to 100 to go. I'll only make it if I keep my Coca-Cola addiction in check. Right now, I'm doing pretty well. Fingers crossed for the future.

Thanks. I think I've lost 65-70 pounds since the last time you saw me.

The weird thing is, I look at myself in the mirror and I don't see any difference. None at all. It's only when I look at old photographs (of which there are very few) that I see any change.

    The 2nd KTM300 is "hers"

The kids will get an electric trials bike once they master bicycles.

My wife grew up in Cali riding dirt bikes and stuff.

My boy was riding his Stacyc long before his peddle bike. They are a cool machine.

He tried the pw50 the other day and ate dirt. I was proud of him.... he's only 3. Fearless.
