    Morning Y'all!

Yes, coffee would be nice thank you!

The wife and I were talking the other day, and she told me I wasn't a people type person. I told her I like people, just as long as they aren't stupid people. She said it sure seemed like I didn't like a lot of people. I told her stupid people breed faster than smart people!

Yep, to the point we're going to have to rethink the Bell Curve/shallow end of gene pool distribution ... left side is stuffed to the max.

Headed to downtown Houston today for business and not looking forward to it.
Same here, retired for 9 years now.
I had an odd morning and it wasn't like I expected.

I had to visit a couple of businesses and I criss-crossed the area basically from downtown out to Shepherd, from 10 to 59. Instead of it being tiring, it was fun. I was reminded of all the funky, hidden-away places I used to go when I spent all my days downtown. I may be too old for most of that now but I'm not too old for all of it!

The one thing that gave me pause was a sign on the front door of one office building advising protesters that they might be trespassing and giving them directions to the nearest sidewalk where they could legally gather.

At the same time, I was reminded of just how much fun and how much more dangerous the heart of the city can be compared to my existence in sterile suburbia.

I swear, I need to either move downtown or so far out in the sticks nobody can ever find me again. This in-between stuff is less satisfying every year.
