And yet, you continue to post about it.You seem awfully dedicated to dying on this hill though.
Sounds like it's due for some TLC. I do enjoy some of those slower single engine planes. My favorite one I've flown was a 152 aerobatThat’s a 160hp C172 with Aspen PFD, G5, and a 530W. Had a small electrical fire in it over Cotulla a few months ago, then it went down for a broken motor mount for a month or so. The motor is about 1200hrs past overhaul with no top end work in the log books. It’s really clean inside/out and part of the school’s rental fleet. I hadn’t flown it in a while and it was available. Forgot how slow that thing is.
Other than that, it’s a great plane to fly.

Damn I'm jealous! Awesome.
How are you and the fam doing?
Definitely sounds like a nice plane. I'm sure it's a joy. The SR-22 is a joy to fly, but I've spent a lot of time working on and flying Cessna and Piper aircraft. They're thoroughly good planes. SR-22 are fun to fly but suck to work on, haha. Another nice aircraft that is fun to fly is a Mooney. Fast suckers. This is a new to us plane and it’s getting flown a lot.
The owner (it’s a lease back) has a factory reman on order, and we expect it to be here in a few weeks. Other than that, it’s in really good condition and it’s a joy to fly. New paint, new interior, and a great panel with no vacuum system, what’s not to like? I don’t think the owner has plans to add an auto pilot, but that’s all it would need to qualify as a TAA and open it up to commercial students.
I just spend most of my time in SR-22s since I don’t instruct, but that’s in my five year plan.
You want speed, you want a Bonanza. Check out this baby I clocked on FlightRadar the other day (okay, the ground speed shown is likely a glitch. It was showing 0 knots when I first started tracking it. Unless it was in an inverted flat spin, I don't think so):Forgot how slow that thing is.

Glitch in the matrix made it rubber band and super speed to catch up to the actual known positionYou want speed, you want a Bonanza.
