Wow, this thread was abandoned. I recently tried one I thought I would share with you guys.

I don't have a pic, but will post the link. Balcones Distillery in Waco has one called "Baby Blue." Its a bit different, but I kind of like it. Its made with roasted blue corn, and that makes for a different taste than most of the bourbons I've had. Not out of left field different, but an interesting taste difference.

I've tried Baby Blue and really liked it.

My daily Bourbon is Jim Beam Black. I've found that for the money it's really good stuff.

Have you tried the TX Bourbon? it tastes nothing like their Blended Whiskey. At first I didn't like it on the rocks. I found out that I do like it when I drink it neat. It has a very unique Pecan taste.

Bourbon from Northern Ireland? (Or maybe I didn't understand the title of the thread correctly?)

Best: Old Bushmill's. Oldest continuously operating distillery in the world (located in Antrim, Northern Ireland).

Leseee ... thread was "whiskey, bourbon....." and Irish is def whiskey. Made the same way as scotch but aged in charred oak. Bushmills Black is my favorite. Aye, Black Bush for me! Oddly similar to Rebecca Creek, at least to my palette. Jameson's and Tulamore Dew just don't float my boat. But I haven't cracked open the 12yr Jameson single malt yet...

Based on replies and what I've already tried I got a bottle of TX today.

Whiskey - bourbon and some others. Scotch is whisky.

There is another thread for scotch.

Well not when you're drinking crap!

The trick is to put some ice in and let it melt a little. The water opens it up and cools it down.

Cracked open the TX tonight. Oooohhhh.... ahhhhhhh... mmmmmm goood!! Very distinct - note of honey to start, apricot and almond on the finish. Verrry smooth, superb whiskey!

Nothing like digging up a 3 yr old thread. Tonight we cracked open the new bottle of TX Blended. It’s been an extremely stressful week. This is a nice treat tonight.
