Ours is in a pretty good place. It drips from the second story onto the top of a small bay window. You can hear the drip hitting the roof shingles over the window.

Fortunately there is a very substantial drip pan under each air handler so there's a measure of safety. Still seems to be some condensation forming on the top of the handler which I don't like. The drain does appear to be draining though and I don't see any more drips from the emergency line.

May have someone come out and do the AC service anyway since we haven't had it done yet this year.

Dayum, speak of the devil, and no sooner did I speak this morning, the wife complained Over the phone about the downstairs unit not cooling. Called AC guy.

Outcome ... just paid $2900 today to replace the evaporator coil and expansion valve on the downstairs unit at my home in Houston.

China virus not the only thing contagious ...

I built the house in 2002, so at least got some mileage out of that unit thanks to religious yearly maintenance.

It’s always something ... and after a leak that bad it’s the compressor next?

    Not if, but when.

Dayum! Sorry to hear it. The AC blowing up is a big fear because it's so expensive. Thankfully I'm able to set aside money in the budget to maintain and eventually replace it but yikes.

Looks like the outside drain is dry as a bone. Need to check the attic again to see if condensation is still forming.

    Mornin' y'all!

Son in law brought the big skid steer and grinder yesterday afternoon to clean up the trees along the road and fenceline. Should have taken a picture, that thing is a beast! Eats trees like they're twigs!

Settled on pork butts, ribs and chicken on the smoker for America's birthday. Need to split some pecan for the cook.

Avvidclif I hope you're feeling better! If you get out of there give me a call for directions and come eat some 'Q' with the family.
