Just assisted with my first firing line of folks that took the online. ( RSO for another instructor) Let’s just say the gun handling was less than optimal for over half of them.I can stir the pot... WOnder if he had thought about the online classes....
I am not surprised. I was at the Austin Rifle Club range last week and some guy had three new gun owners with him and it was evident they had not only never handled a gun, but learned all they knew from television shows. One guy was actually going to shoot doing the gun held sideways thing. I stopped that silliness but left very quickly.Just assisted with my first firing line of folks that took the online. The LTC Class is not to teach new shooters. When you show up to qualify, you are expected to know how to load mags, clear malfunctions and know and adhere to the 4 rules.Everyone starts somewhere. Help versus harass right.

He actually took the time to explain to him why he could not use 357 ammo in a 38 caliber revolver. I think the customer misspoke by accident but you never know. And what did the salesman suggest to him?
