I travel to Washington and Oregon for work on a regular basis over the last 20 years. It is a beautiful part of the world with oceans and mountains and green forests and valleys with waterfalls. Love, art and music was the original vibe. But something went wrong along the way. The first change I noticed was in the homeless shelters and soup kitchens. I had seen shelters in Texas but those were hang outs for old, barely functional drunks and junkies. In Seattle and Portland the lines were full of healthy young, fit people. They had discovered that they didn't need to work, or contribute to society or follow the rule of law and civility because the cities would feed, clothe ,shelter and even provide free clean needles for their drug habits. Why grow up when you can trade your "my baby does no wrong" mommy for a government funded one? I always thought once I retired I would visit. Not now.

If you have been to Capital Hill then you know if there's a chunk of Seattle that could be given away, that would be it. That, and Freakmont...
Although I was born at the old Swedish Hospital that used to be on Capitol Hill, it's better known for the birth place of such bands as Nirvana, Mother Love Bone (later Pearl Jam), Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. The clubs on Broadway (Capitol Hill) were some of my favorite haunts in my twenties.

I hate to say it, but Idaho is looking like the new Texas. Texas is slowly being taken over.
Idaho and Montana are pretty pissed at the number of Texans (and others) who are moving there. So, yeah, they're the new Texas, as in: "Our state is full! Shut the damn gate!"

Well Ben, this is a new emotion...for the first time in my life, I'm a liberty loving Texan refugee that can relate to some Californians. I don't like this......not sure how I feel about liberty being constantly displaced before I lash out. :D

It will be funny to see how fast the soy boys fold up and move on once someone with some backbone stands up and says enough is enough.

Also, anyone else see the sweet irony of these thugs setting up barricades to establish a border? I thought borders were racist.
Noone in Seattle has that backbone...............and yes, the irony is there for all to see.
