My old HF ones are orange with a white support post. Careful check tells me they are just fine. They look nothing like the Pittsburgs.
Take a look at 9:55 in the video in post #44. You can see how the recalled ones have really shallow teeth. Probably a good idea for everyone to examine all the budget jack stands they have regardless of recall or origin and verify they aren't of the same design.

Where's our resident weldar/welder/weldir/weldor/weldyr to point out the lack of penetration? ;)
Conveniently covered by the sticker so you can't really see it. Obviously not enough penetration, but I think this is a design flaw. If they had put the seam 90° to where they did it probably wouldn't be subject to that spreading force.

On the penetration... I wonder if the welds were done by person or robot. If by robot they are probably all borked.

If I'd wager a guess, those look hand done. Not an expert though, all I've done is hobby stuff like subframe connectors, motor mounts, steering shafts, exhaust work.

    Wow.

I guess when I return mine to the store I will ask for store credit. For now, I will dish out the coin and pick up some Arcans from Northern Tool.

Honestly, I am not sure what I will do with a Harbor Freight store credit of $25...

Maybe pick I can up some Bono Safety Glasses, or apply it towards an 18-volt cordless hammer, or Heavy Duty Pneumatic Slide Whistle.
