Connected to the tv with bluetooth. TV feeding into stereo system.

Just wanted to listen to some music off the PC on the stereo system.

Audio was crackling/stuttering. Disconnected bluetooth, music played fine on PC speakers.

Did a net search on bluetooth audio crackling, bluetooth audio static - nothing.

Played a video on the tv with bluetooth linked, perfect. No audio or video problems.

    Any ideas out there?

Bluetooth crackling/static is usually a sign that the signal is strong enough or the Tx/Rx are too far apart or there is an obstruction between them.

Thanks for the info. I will try moving the PC closer to the tv.

Was about 25-30' away, with two interior walls between.

Never have used bluetooth much. Didn't think about the shorter range.

Normal bluetooth range is 30ft or less depending on obstacles and other stuff.

Yeah that's probably too far with the walls especially.
Strange thing is, video worked perfectly in the same situation. Smooth playback, no audio problems.

Haven't had the chance to try moving the pc closer yet.

    Yep. Was too far away.

Still don't understand why video (including the video's audio) works fine from that spot, but not windows media player playing music.

    Oh well.

    Thanks for the help.

Is it a "smart TV "? Was the video on YouTube?

    Yes, Smart tv.

Started a video on Amazon Prime on my pc, then turned on tv, then linked up to tv with bluetooth. My pc screen was showing on the tv. So I am pretty sure it was not using the tv's amazon app, but rather was streaming from pc to tv over bluetooth.

Could be wrong, though. Wouldn't be the first time today.

I'm wondering if it actually linked through the WiFi router instead of using the Bluetooth for the video playback?
