Chip Roy is a good guy in a mostly conservative district that was gerrymandered specifically to counter D seats in the SAT/AUS corridor.

A lot of people were hoping Will Hurd was cut from the same bolt; he wasn’t and is leaving Congress. The Ds are running Gina Ortiz-Jones against whoever wins the R runoff between Raul Reyes and Tony Gonzalez. We’re supporting Reyes, but I think Gonzalez is going to win, which is sad because he’s a Marco Rubio guy.
