So, Trudeau has plans to get rid of "assault style" weapons.
They did have a nasty shooting in Nova Scotia not too long back. Thing is, I read about the restrictions they ALREADY had on the books. Waiting periods, registrations, psych evals, on and on. So, how could that shooting have EVEN happened???

Gotta love the lib mindset. "We are facing a world-wide pandemic, what shall we do?"
    "I know! Gun control!"

My 9 year old fell off her scooter last night and landed on her shoulder. She was still hurting today so my wife took her to get looked at. Just found out she fractured her collar bone.

Don’t feel bad. Something similar happened to my daughter when she was about 5; happened pretty early in the day. I didn’t get home until late that night, just another long day in the military.

Anyways, I come home and hear the story, then see may daughter in the couch and she tells me she hurt her arm and mom said I’d look at it when I got home.

I did a once over and lightly touched the swollen area and that started the tears flowing, so At that point, we scooped her up and went to the local urgent care where they confirmed the fracture.

Wife felt awful afterwards, but kids get bumps and bruises and they hurt. If the pain lasts, that’s when it’s time for the doc.

I've no idea how many times I've been knocked out or done done it to myself. Sounds to me like she'll be fine, just part of growing up ;)

Not feeling too bad. She wasn't in enough pain to justify an evening ER visit. Figured we should get in her today she was still hurting and it was Friday. We thought if anything was broken it was probably the clavicle. Sure enough that was it.

Of course this happened because she's 9 and decided to hot rod it down the driveway after we've told her many times not to. Guess she got to learn that lesson the hard way.

My kids can finish the sentence "Actions have consequences" because they've heard it so many times from us.

Maybe just cuz it's a purdy Friday and I'm a goof ball?

Maybe cuz I just ette and my blood sugar is goin up?

    I dunno . . . .

    Damn, sorry to hear that.

I broke my first one about that age also.
Getting up from the bed is the most painful part, at least for me, and I did it 3 times.
    Just as an FYI....

Both as the kid AND the parent?

Heh. I'm getting my payback as a parent for all the crap I put my parents through. Like the time I crashed my bike face first into the back of my neighbor's pickup truck with the solid steel bumper. Or the time I tried to ride my bike down my neighbor's concrete steps, went over the handlebar and face first into their railing.

    Crap.
