Well, I truly hope all that have gotten ill will recover soon. That said, I'm not sure where we are on all this sickness and death! Plus, the economy will soon crater, then ............ what next? No jobs, etc. I'm gonna' wait a little longer to see if those "big boy" politicians are going to get a plan to pull everyone out of this crisis. Oh well.

Short version: PA residents are heading to other states, who are turning them around. Black markets and moonshiners have already gained market share.

    Who’d’ve thunk it?

I didn’t know that Pennsylvania had Communist liquor stores until I travelled to Pittsburgh a couple of years ago on business.

The good news is if your still married and not under investigation for domestic violence or spousal murder at the end of quarantine you got a strong marriage and are good to go.

    That bad news...

You're stuck with them for possibly decades and decades.

But its decades not in prison. Especially good when you find a month on lockdown difficult.

They are for bacterial infections. I dont know the reason for its efficacy on this stuff. Was explained that it took care of any infection trying to sneak in while you were weak trying to fight the beerbug.

Not sure how much truth there is in that.

Dr Haverkorn may have more on that.
Google "azithromycin antiviral effect". It may help prevent and does treat secondary bacterial infections but the real hope was in the fact that it stimulates, for unknown reasons, your natural immune response to some viruses. We know that for a fact. The question is whether or not the clinical response is enough to matter.

If it won't keep you from getting infected how is it better? I'm not following.
Don't try. I was saying originally that I wondered if there was a practical reason behind the now ubiquitous English "tea time." I've read enough since then to think it probably wouldn't help much, but then I tend to believe that eating healthier, supplementing with some common herbal remedies and such couldn't possibly HURT one's immune system's ability to cope with the virus, either. Since I'm by myself most of the time right now, I've probably tripled my normal garlic intake, for instance... if anyone thinks I smell bad, they're too close!

Fair enough. The study you mentioned even drinking reasonably hot drinks, won't hurt. No one should think they will be immune, however.

I'm not aware of any virus that will hurt you if only 1 viral particle makes it into your body. Our immune system can handle that. Each viral disease has a certain minimum amount of viral particles that have to hit you at once in order to catch the infection/disease. It is possible that some of the alternative medicine stuff could raise the number of viral particles necessary. It is impossible that alternative medicine will completely protect you at any exposure level.
