Lots of calls for them to step down on Twitter today. This is the list I saw; anyone know if it is correct and complete?

    Senator Richard Burr
    Senator Kelly Loefner
    Senator Dianne Feinstein
    Senator Ron Johnson
    Senator Jim Inhofe

“Interesting” how some major outlets are just reporting on republicans who did it...it’s almost as if Dems can do no wrong.

Thanks for the link. Good read.

And it answered one of my questions. If these are "coincidence sales", what was the selling pattern recently?
    Article said:
"Burr’s Feb. 13 selling spree was his largest stock selling day of at least the past 14 months, according to a ProPublica review of Senate records."

    Doesn't have good optics.

It's all legal again, lots of fanfare a year or so ago when they made it illegal. Then they quietly changed the law/rules again.

Last year I opened a new brokerage account and one of the questions on the application was: Are you or a near relative an elected government official?
I figure they track those folks accounts so they can 'front run' trades for their own best customers.

So they sold a bunch of stock? Did they buy some specifics stock related to beer flu or the treatment of it?

I can imagine a brief stating facts known then about the virus and someone mentioning how there are rumors the Dems are gonna try to use this to hit the economy to get Trump. A few political rumors like that from high enough in the food chain and anyone with foresight might sell.

Again, unless they bought or sold very specific stocks I don’t see a problem.

    Bipartisan =

Which is why I’d predict this story isn’t going to go anywhere. If one side begins pointing fingers and they suddenly realize their own side is doing the same thing, it’s amazing how quickly things get quiet.

Maybe the best “Index” fund to hold, is one that tracks Congress creatures buying & selling. And has as its “objective” to closely mimic their activity.

Loefner is supposed to be the richest person in Congress, worth half a billion dollars. But claims she knew nothing about it... her financial advisor(s) make those decisions. (Yeah, right!)

Can you name a stock that has not been hit hard?

They had inside information that the entire market was going to take a hit. And they used this information to bail out. Insider trading.

Walmart hasn’t been hit that hard. Down 3%, but still up 15+% from a year ago.

Biotech and pharma seem to be the latest winners right now.
