    Wow! Good story!

Wish I could find the story of my former headmaster (British for principle, from when I was living in the Bahamas). He told us of his fall from a plane with no parachute while he was in the RAF during WWII. Can't remember how high it was (over 10,000 feet I believe). Seems that a prop had fowled, he went out on the wing, cleared it and fell trying to get back in the plane. Supposedly he hit a treetop which threw him into a snowbank and broke his ankle. He did show us the news clipping of the incident. He was one tough hombre, nobody ever wanted to have to be sent to the headmaster.

Great story. Similar, but not quite the same s Bob Pardo’s (a Texan) much more widely know push.
