Agree there's a whole different attitude about work, one of my guys didn't show up Thursday. Called him, emailed him, texted him, nothing. A few hours later I get an email saying he had a headache and overslept.

I don't get it, I don't even own an alarm clock.

‘Tis the busiest time of year dealing with the stupidest of people, as @Whistler indicated above. Seriously impacting my belief of work less, make more.

Spent yesterday afternoon with a retired 3-star nuclear submariner by trade who’s got an unenviable job. I think there’s a lot of high-ranking people about to be told ‘get on board or get off my ship; no room for pirates here’.

This is a guy that starts meetings at the prescribed second and ends them in time to start the next meeting on the exact second. If the door is shut, no one gets to enter and their ‘contribution’ isn’t particularly welcome any longer.

Discipline is in his nature and he believes undisciplined people are a risk to the company.

Should be an interesting year, to say the least.

Don't get me started on stupid people
