I want you voting and influencing 'cause this man is trying to crush us with his wallet.

    Watch:

I will tell you this guy is slime and unashamed. He is buying forgiveness from the black folks he targeted mercilessly just a few years ago. His ad buy announcing his event at Houston's Buffalo Soldier Museum where he is throwing in a fleet of free food truck vendors to feed folks was enormous - I'm talking hundreds of plays on black radio per day.

If you appreciate Traditional Texas Values and miss a chance to vote in support of these values - I will blame YOU.

Welp... Looks like Bloomberg is going to attack Texas with three times more funding than he spent in Virginia.

I'm a life long Texan. Almost all of my family was born and raised here and a majority of them spent all, or most of their lives here. The only reason I wasn't born here, is because I was born on an Air Force base in Panama.

That said, I will NOT abandon Texas. However, I'm not too confident that we won't allow this to happen. Us conservatives and republicans just don't work hard enough and don't mobilize enough to beat these lunatics. We take too much shit from the left. Maybe it's because we are naturally peace loving, forgiving, and have jobs, whereas they are unemployed, love to start shit, and once they lock on to some cry baby "cause", they bite down hard and do what it takes to accomplish their tyranny. Even if it means breaking laws. Therefore, our morals and honor makes it increasingly hard to fight back, let alone hold em off.

Get your asses out and VOTE. Mail, email, call, go down and SPEAK to your representatives. Some of use here are getting real sick of carrying the load for some of you who bitch and whine about politics and rights, but do nothing. Sick of the "gonna stay home this election" state of mind just because you want to be 100% satisfied. I almost feel like we're not only fighting for our rights against the left, but also about 60% of our own side. Bunch of quitters and cowards.

Look, if this doesn't apply to you, good. Please don't fill the thread with needless defensive posts if you know this is not you. If this does apply to you, GOOD. Please don't fill this thread with your excuses and cowardice ideology.

I ****'n love this state, sometimes I wonder if I love it more than the US as a whole. I know it was blue once, but that was before the left became socialist, nihilistic perverts who will be violent and worst of all, are gun'n to take our second amendment harder than ever. So if you're not going to do your part to combat what Bloomberg is setting into motion, BIG middle finger to ya. Last, on behalf of my children, who's freedom you will willingly take part in flushing down the toilet along with your spine, kiss my ass.

Ah shit... I ranted like a woman going through menopause. Sorry about that.

Please guys, let's band together and do everything in our power, collectively and individually, to stop this. Once Texas goes blue, and if they get any gun control bills passed, it's going to be next to impossible to undo. So let's just preempt it.

    God bless

Wife and I are voting today. Have my mail in ballot right here in front of me. Don't forget the 10 propositions. Vote yes on all.

We can't sit back and cross our fingers and hope. VOTE! Do not think what happened in Virginia can't happen here.

I voted. Not sure that term limits are necessarily a good thing so I abstained on that proposal. Yes, I am not a fan of crappy lifetime politicians, but I still mostly believe it is up to the people to vote them in or out

Don’t mean to insult anyone’s intelligence but just to kinda state the obvious, those ten propositions aren’t to establish any law(s).

They’re just to help the Party establish ‘planks’ in it’s Party Platform. IOW, they are more like “survey” questions to find out what the members of the Party think should be the “official” position of the {Republican} Party in Texas, on some given topic. This was the TEXAS state-level Party Primary vote; so the proposition/survey ONLY effects the TEXAS Party position on the topic. For instance, the question on Term Limits would apply to the Republican Party fielding questions on the state legislature. The Republican Party of Texas may be able to report up to the RNC, the results are representative of Texas Republicans’ belief on national Term Limits too, but it would only represent our Texas point-of-view (not other states).

I haven’t looked, but I’d guess the Texas Democrat Party had “proposition” {survey} questions on their ballot too (albeit, different questions...I’m sure).

The part apart the survey is far from the point. I forgot that bit was even in the video. The point of this thread is he's pumping in 3 times the amount and effort he used to flip VA and now we see what they are intending to pass. I also don't think the Guns N Gadgets guy was really stressing the survey bit, aside from the fact that it was silly.

Don't see how anyone could take that as an insult to one's intelligence though.

D ballot has 11 plank props. Mostly socialism with a little anarchy, gun control, and more taxes sprinkled in.

“Turn out” in a Party’s Primary isn’t necessarily reflective or representative of that Party’s enthusiasm. Could be; but isn’t necessarily so. For instance, did the Democrats not have multiple candidates for many positions on their county ballot from which to choose - or did most Democratic candidates not face a Primary challenger?

Hey what happened to the thread?
Dred started a thread and so did you so I merged them. I merged Dred's thread into yours because your thread had gotten traction but his hadn't, i.e. you were getting responses. However, the process of merging keeps the individual posts in the order in which they were posted. Dred had actually started his thread before yours so his start post appears before yours.

It was a judgement call on my part. I preserved the title of your more active thread even though that would put Dred's first post in front of yours. I could have done the opposite.

Any time threads are merged, some weirdness will crop up. It doesn't apply in this case but, generally, the quicker someone reports duplicate threads so that they can be merged, the less odd stuff will happen.

    Hope that helps.
