Did this on my wife's car. Took it in for the state inspection 10 days ago, got the sticker in the mail yesterday. Next big hurdle is getting her DL renewed. She has to do it in person this time. Oh boy.Went ahead and put the new registration stickers on the two trucks.
I have it on my windshield. It does help with the heatIt's legal now. They have what is basically a clear ceramic tint that blocks the heat, reduces glare, but you can't tell it's tinted by looking at the vehicle.
Of course if you get a bad tint job, then you'll have issues with blurry, distorted, or bubbled areas.

No distortion. I don't think it helps with glare. If the chips are sealed I would think you are ok if you want to get the film. I actually had a chip fixed after I had the film applied. I drive an Audi a4 and in the summer when we drive to NOLA I usually set the automatic A/C to ~76 and the car is cold.I've been thinking about doing this myself. Trying to decide if it's worth the money with the rock chips I have or if I should wait for a new windshield.
Any distortion with oncoming headlights? Does it help any with glare from the sun when it creeps just below your visor?
haha, that's awesome! Maybe get the seat reupholstered in ostrich skinGot tired of looking at my eye sore mower, so I made it at little boost. Now that I started it, I gotta finish it. More to come down the road.
Put these on the trucks. The newer fancier models have them built in and I like the way they operate.
Great addition if you use the tailgate a lot or in general have a hard time controlling the heavy bastards. View attachment 198132

Get it snug and tap it around so the screw isn't so accessible. Slow them down more.Speaking of...
I finally got around to doing the hose clamp tailgate mod, to slow a would-be thief enough to (hopefully) look elsewhere.

I used to do that until I got a truck with the rearview camera in it that cost over $1,000 to replace. When I got this truck, I put a pop lock actuator in there so now my tailgate locks every time I hit the lock button for the doors.
Come to think of it, I think I have a hose clamp too. I just don't trust it as much with the cost of the current tailgate.
