Got out the compressor yesterday and plugged a screw hole in a trailer tire.

Like always, not one of my fasteners.

While I had it out I checked the air on all the vehicles.

They tried that on my father once, just added it to the bill.

Sewell BMW? My car came with two different mounts for the plate, and when the plate arrived they installed the mount and plate while I had a muffin and cup of coffee, and they washed the car for me too. All free. I have been treated well at Sewell.

    When was that?

Late 90's, Lexus. He was a small time used car dealer getting some work done there. It was funny because they had to take his frame off to put theirs on.

I had 3 tires with nails in them last week. And while I was sitting there getting my tires fixed, a whole shitload of people came in needing flats fixed. They reckon somebody dropped a box of nails on the highway again.

Today, a Sewell plate on a vehicle you bought from them is worth free car washes at Sewell dealerships...but have fun waiting for two hours on a Saturday morning.

On this Charger I just bought, the dealer added over $1000 to the proposal on one line with some relatively innocuous title I can't remember. As we're going over it, I immediately inquire on what that is, and get the "oh that's standard preparation package included on all cars we sell" line. I casually counter with "well I'm going to need to see exactly what it is I'm going to be paying for with that one, but we'll come back to it." We finish up with the other items on the proposal, everything was on the up on and up, so we come back to that add-on. He walks me over to another car explaining it's clearly shown on a windshield sticker what it all includes. It's the dealer add-on junk like window tint, paint sealant, upholstery stain proofing, etc. "I don't want any of that, please remove that from the proposal and we can finish the sale." He tells me it's already been done, and he can't take it off. I politely say "No, you're mistaken. We test drove the car, and it clearly was not tinted. Please remove the 'package' from the proposal." Surprise, surprise - he did ;)

Is that even legal? Tinting the windshield, that is.
Unless it changed it isn't legal but some tint with clear. Helps with UV and glare or some crap like that.

As far as I know they can't test the front windshield tint but it's a moot point since it's all illegal anyways.

I see a lot of out of state guys tint theirs and then ask what's the brightest headlight because the factory ones suck.

It's legal now. They have what is basically a clear ceramic tint that blocks the heat, reduces glare, but you can't tell it's tinted by looking at the vehicle.

Of course if you get a bad tint job, then you'll have issues with blurry, distorted, or bubbled areas.

Couple of front skins for mammas front wheel drive. Little Versa gotta love the price of a small tire. About 40 bucks apiece. The damn Armada i just replaced were almost 300 apiece drive away.
