OMG shooting the steel with my AR is super satisfying.

I can stand there and hold the AR and just go “ding... ding... ding...”

    it’s divine.

I have to rest my arms every few shots. I shot two mags of that and it was totally worth it.

Stretch it out to 2-300 yds and it's even more satisfying.

I did take the SKS to 200 shooting seated with a sling and felt like I was pushing it in terms of accuracy but I also don't have a lot of experience with those types of sites. I was absolutely thrilled when I was making hits at that distance though.

Been a member at PSC going on 4 years.

    I have three gripes ...
    1) mandatory NRA membership
    2) nothing longer than 300 yrds
    3) lack of advanced training classes

Having said that, best range for my money (YMMV). They're doing good improvements on the pistol ranges and the steel on range one is a great addition.

    Question: Where is Greenwood?

I'm not a huge fan either but it won't change any time soon. And it's not like they're asking us to join Mom's Demand Prozac group. It's worth it IMO.

    2) nothing longer than 300 yrds

I don't shoot at Range 4, is that only 300 too?

Welcome to the forum, glad to have another local here.

The NRA comment is just an observation. I'm a life member, but I have a half dozen friends that would like to join but won't for this singular reason.

Range 4 is only 200 yrds. Range 1 goes out to 300.

Thanks for the welcome, although I've been lurking around here for a few years.

"Benchrest" at 200 yards. Interesting. I didn't realize it was that short.

There's actually some additional land beyond the 200 yrd berm that's still on the property. There was talk, but I haven't seen any movement yet, to put in a range back there with active/laterally moving targets. I'll believe it when I see it.

I’m a 5 year member at PSC. I am also not a fan of the mandatory NRA membership but I do enjoy the ranges. It’s also not too far from the house. It’s nice to not have to compete for spaces to take my kids shooting when they want to go. I am also a reloader, and some of the other ranges around don’t allow me to pick up my own brass.

    I’m a noob member, FINALLY!

I was out there anyways for years, every month for the most excellent Saturday Ladies Class, which non members may attend ($15).

But I finally asked to join and was accepted.

    I’m thankful!

    Who else loves this range?

Yes, I love the PSC range. Great facilities. Mostly friendly, co-operative and respectful members. What really impresses me is how often improvements are made to the ranges and training buildings. All the facilities are well maintained by folks that take great pride in their work. All that and the fact that I only live about 3 miles east on 528. What's not to love???
