It's now 66 days since I turned in my information and nothing. I received this email from them on November 5th when I asked them if everything was okay on my end.

"Our records indicate your application is processing. We appreciate your understanding and patience. This can take up to eight (8) business weeks to complete once your application is submitted and all documents are received. In the event additional review or more information or documents are required to complete an application, DPS has an additional 180 days to complete the review process. No additional documentation is needed at this time."

I've never been arrested. Have an honorable discharge and currently work for a police department with NCIC access.

I had a long wait for mine... I sent in everything right before the El Paso shooting and they said originally it would take 6 weeks, and then when I repeatedly followed up with department of safety they changed it to "8 weeks" and all this but it ended up being well over that time frame. Not sure if there was just an influx of applications or what...

Okay, here's the run down so as to consolidate.

09-14-2019 - Took the LTC class and passed their test.
09-16-2019 - Got my fingerprints done at 1400 hours and turned in my documents to the State website.
09-20-2019 - Checked LTC site. All green except fingerprints and background.
10-29-2019 - Sent the State an email.

"It's been almost two months since I applied for my LTC and haven't received anything. I was wondering if I needed to supply more information."

    11-05-2019 - Response

11-16-2019 - Scathing email not sent. *patience young padawan*
11-21-2019 - Checked LTC site. All green except fingerprints and background.
11-22-2019 - Checked LTC site at 0800 hours. All green. Print Pending.
    11-26-2019 - Mailed.
    11-29-2019 - Received.

I'm thinking I should file a complaint, but I feel it will just fall on deaf ears. It took 73 days.

LoL! Glenn, my wife and I went to the movies last week and without my input they gave me the Senior discount. Seems that some places consider 55 as being Senior. I was depressed the rest of the day...
My wife and I went to the market at the Warton Fair Grounds. I asked if they had a Veterans discount. They said "no - Vets get in free". But, you don't have to be real old to be a vet.

So you buy the stamp first, then go shopping for a suppressor? Or you buy the suppressor, then the FFL holds it for a year until you get the stamp?
It is kinda like a combined eal. You have to buy the suppressor and tax stamp together, then the fun begins. Each suppressor needs its own stamp and form and more fingerprints. You pay for both and the dealer keeps the suppressor until the tax stamp is approved.

Well, It's been over a month now & when I log in with my PIN it still says......"packet mailed to applicant".

Am I being impatient or should it say something different by now?

You should call and inquire. I did and my application was setting in a basket waiting for me to call before proceeding. Well ok... it wasn’t really setting in a basket waiting. But it had been delayed because the didn’t get my DD214 the first time I sent it. I sent it again two times over a week ago. My app was still on hold waiting for my DD214 which when the gal checked they had already received it. So she got off hold and put it back in the processing mode.
