Honestly, I could understand someone saying if I didn't take them they were interested, but to contact the guy out from under me is a real prick move!

This is the reply from Tinker when I asked him what the hell happened...

I responded to your WTB post and another member saw my response and ask for pictures. I didn't realize until now that it was a different member and not you. I will inform the other member that you still have first shot at the two props and explain the situation. I apologize for the confusion.

To clear up this mater once and for all. Here is how it went down. I responded to a WTB post. I got PM's from two members that if MMM didn't take them, they were interested. I thought I was responding to MMM when I said "sold" but it turned out I was responding to another members PM. When I heard from MMM (who was rightfully upset) I realized my error. Before I could rectify it, I was banned from the site. It took me a while to contact the moderators to explain the situation. Once they understood, I was reinstated. Once I had access to the forum again, I contacted the members involved and explained what had happened and made my apologies to all. So to set the record clear...no other member horned in on the deal, the mistakes were mine and I hope we can move on and do some more Texas Gun Talking... This forum is a great resource and I as I make my way through the jungle of rules and regulations, I hope to make it safely out to the pickup point with out getting shot by either the enemy or friendly fire.
    Tinker.

I have an older pair of us navy binoculars. I got them from a co worker awhile back. His old man was in the navy at midway so these are probably from that time period. If you are interested I can get you pictures

Thanks MTA89, I don't really collect USN items (trying to limit myself somehow); so I'd rather they go to someone who would appreciate them more!

Most of my collection focuses halfway on USAF and US Army, and Soviet/Warsaw Pact countries for the other half. As you can imagine, that encompasses a lot and my collection has spilled out of my office into the game room which is where this latest acquisition ended up!
