I am not going to keep beating a dead horse.

If you can't figure out how to find a good professional (attorney or otherwise), either you are really hard up intellectually or you are just trying to be a wiseacre. And whichever is the case, you are beyond my help.

So it will cost more. How does one pay for any emergency? Again, what is your freedom worth? Use a mediocre attorney who can't find enough work on his own merits so he signs up for this network, end up behind bars. Will you wish then that you had done whatever was necessary to hire a top notch attorney?

What top notch attorney is going to join a network where he gets paid peanuts, when he has plenty of business that pays his standard (and admittedly high) rates? Think about that and try to absorb basic realty here. You will find the answer that you seek, grasshopper.

You keep repeating the same thing and not answering questions, then you make statements you pull from your ass like they are facts.

I already know the answers. I've actually researched the attorneys. I know the facts. I know who I'll call at zero dark thirty, and it's already paid for.

Some background from an Old Guy:

Some 35 years ago, there was a struggle for "control" of the NRA, "OUR" NRA.

Many saw the then "leadership" as too weak in support of the 2nd Amendment, too willing to compromise with restrictive laws weakening our 2A.

A very popular "Gun Personality", C. Neal Knox, was ousted over friction with Wayne LaPierre, but came back a few years later with very strong member support, to return to the board and once-again be a "thorn in LaPierre's side". This was known to many as "The Knox Revolution".

A board fight ensued, LaPierre won, Knox was ousted again, and the board closed ranks behind LaPierre.

BUT, this allowed LaPierre opportunity to insulate himself from future member discontent by a Machiavellian system of regulations, and his "fortress", the then-newly strong "nominating committee".

Wayne then anointed Charlton Heston for NRA President. Heston, who had played "Moses" on screen, and was seen as a sorta combo of Tom Selleck & Ronald Reagan. He won easily and satisfied most members, but the brouhaha had left LaPiere in unassailable control of the NRA, where he is still ensconed.

While LaPierre has superficially done an overall good job; it is unhealthy to have an organization with millions of active members continue under a protracted "dictatorship".

I am a LIFE Member of both NRA & TSRA, and was never interested in the internal NRA politics, until LaPierre became a "Big Star" of our side, by his own machinations.

At the big FONRA meeting in Austin some 25 years ago, LaPierre was treated like a "megastar", as if he were the Pope and George Washington in the flesh. It was patently disgusting to me.

LaPierre now firmly controls everything NRA, including the essential "NRA-ILA", ostensibly run by J.J. Baker. The ILA has made numerous BIG mistakes, despite member warnings, and LaPierre refuses to listen to member advice on their LOCAL political situations. This has alienated some important politicians, who should have been solidly "on our side" in D.C.

Secondary effects have been the rise of both GOA and USCCA, which are more member responsive, or at least seemingly so.

I hope this background helps younger folks understand why so many of us have lessened support of the NRA, as long as LaPierre is "dictator for life".

I'm a uscca member. I decided on them because they fit what I was looking for. I can send you a referral link if you need info. I pray I never need to call my lawyer, but like with any insurance, it's there just in case.

Would agree! Figure it'd take $100k to fight a criminal action- cites like Austin got those inclinations and resources.

Would really like to see TLS & USCCA in a side-by-side comparison. Not that I travel out of state a lot, but is TLS nationwide?

I don't know if all of these outfits that provide coverage do it, but I know one that denies coverage when you're at work as they insist it's the employers responsibility to protect you while you're at work.

Look into this if you're buying self defense coverage - you may find you aren't covered while at work...and no, I didn't provide the name of the one I know that denies coverage when you're at work.

    Look into it.

My guess is they all deny this coverage and hope you don't find out about it.

    Bithabus,

I did a quick scan - didn't see any of them mention when they 'don't cover you.

BTW, that chart is pretty good, but I want to know more about when they deny coverage.

Yes, I know if you're involved in an illegal act with a gun they deny coverage and should........

I, too was a USCCA subscriber-member, but quit them because I could not get them to respond to my very simple questions about their "services".

Has USCCA become more member-responsive now?

They kept bugging me to "upgrade"; but when I asked what that involved, I could never get them to reply. After numerous tries, I just gave-up and didn't renew. leVieux

They are. US Law Shield. TLS is a subdivision of it.

    Saw this on another forum
    https://www.concealedcarry.com/law/s...rams-compared/

There is a substantial difference - the NRA program looks a lot more like AARP offering something, and the USCCA a lot more like a useable product that won't line the coffers of the NRA. What I get is the USCCA program has a lot more available at minute 1 of your aftermath, and will cover a lot more of the circumstances.

    Good info, thanks.
