Passenger trains never had cabooses.

Surprisingly quiet unless the engineer is laying on the whistle.
Couldn't hear it really until it passed.

Largest operational steam engine in the world, it's been restored after leaving service in 1959, and is currently in service again now. It's doing a tour of the US for Union Pacific's 150th anniversary I believe. Also not too many trains with the configuration that it has. There's not many of those observation cars around anymore.
