I think it might be mine, but don't sweat it. If I ever need one again I'll get one. Consider it a raffle prize.

Again it was great to meet everyone and hang out with a fine bunch of folks for the morning. I hope to be able to go again in the future. Also thanks to Texas Star Range, that's a nice place to meet up.

    Thank you Dave!

It was a great day yesterday. Great weather, great friends & great food.
    Cant wait until next April

Yep. Fired 4 I had never previously fired. The 10mm revolver was fun. The 38 Super was an honor to shoot. The pimp thing was smooth as glass. The Colt Commander has me wanting to buy one.

I wanted to fire his Glock, but apparently it is his favorite and doesn’t loan it out.

Looks like y'all had a good time with pretty good weather! Sorry I couldn't make it. :(

Ditto ... thought long and hard about it, but that 7 1/2 hour drive, and having to bring the pup, who is gunshot shy, and having to leave her in a motel if I could find one that would take her, was just one too many factors.

That said, for future planning, anyone stay in a motel they can recommend in the area that was reasonable and might fit that bill?

    Thanks ...

Lots of nice spots in Killeen. Whatever your fave is. I stayed at the Marriot suites in the spring. Loved it. Was on that end of town and about 15-20 min to the range. Stayed at one of the others last year (hilton?) and it was great too

Moonpie can always be counted on to bring things that make you want to spend money.

I was damn tempted to walk to my car after Moonpie shoved that Wilson Combat 9mm 1911 in my hands. I'm sure I could have been long gone before he noticed. Now I'm telling myself, "I don't need, I don't need", HELLA nice gun.

    Wow Im tired.

That was a great event and I enjoyed it even more than the spring due to the impeccable weather that we had. Really perfect. I had a fantastic time and wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for participating and bringing it all together.
Todd (and crew) taking the lead was a good move, thanks for his diligence.
Dawico (and crew) taking care of the raffle which seemed kinda special this time for sure. (congrats to Karri)
EZ (and crew) for the chef duties and all who provided.
Thanks to all the guys who participated in project AFAR. Id say it was successful although I admit it had its moments:green: It needs some tuning and tweaking but its close to being a rifle!
Thanks to Moonpie for providing access to an extraordinary amount of hardware and he couldnt have been any more amicable about everyone shooting the crap outta them.

Lotsa folks bring hardware, ammo, food, and other resources, grateful to all.

Most of all, I thank you all for the support. At the last minute Chase decided not to go. I expected as much. He still has a slight case of PTSD and crowds are the trigger factor. Just doesnt do well in crowds, especially with firearms going off. Dustin, my oldest, came out and had the grandest time and everyone was so nice. Thanks.

One final point. As my oldest was introduced to everyone, they always said "are you the marine?" and I noticed this.
This fact alone, that folks think about Chase enough to ask, was noticed by me (and Dustin) and meant a whole lot to both of us. For that I thank you all.
