"Going to start by expecting Americans to follow the law and turn in their guns."

Okay, dipshit. For the last time... Any Americans that would "follow that law" aren't ones that you're worried about anyone. It's the Americans (and non-Americans) that don't follow the "don't murder a bunch of people" laws that we're worried about. But you expect them to follow your "turn in your guns" law. Why? Just because they voted for you?

I'm willing to bet the vast majority of people who don't follow the "don't murder people" laws vote Democrat (including almost all of the illegal immigrants who vote).

It's like Kroger and HEB, et al. We don't want open carry in our stores. The guys who open carried ARs and shot up the Walmarts aren't going to be deterred by the sign. And the guy on aisle 4 checking prices on tomato soup with a 1911 in a holster isn't the guy you're worried about.

It's almost like magic. Distraction, misdirection, illusion, POOF! All your rights are gone.

yes, and back when the democrats burned to the ground that church full of people in waco, they were there to take the guns then too.

Now they are wanting to do it again, better this time, on a massive scale.

We have to keep in mind that Robert Frances O'Rourke and his democrat allies are cut from the same cloth as Reno and the Clintonistas, and given the opportunity, they will burn people alive to take what they want.
    A few points here.

    1. If they were smart (lucky for us they aren't), they'd take the guns one gun at a time. They kind of try that with bans and red flag laws. They ban just one type of thing like a machinegun and then most of America says "ya, that's reasonable". Then a bumpstock. "I don't have one so who cares. They're stupid anyway." Then 10 round mags. Then mag fed guns altogether. Then semi-autos. Then certain calibers. Then shotguns that hold over 3 rounds. Before long, we just have airsoft and mace...and a rape whistle.

We Americans, including gun owners, are very selfish. "Not my problem". So they red flag your neighbor. Take her gun. "No my gun, not my problem." Then they take yours. "Where's my help?" No response. They won't be able to take them with a universal ban because of our mob mentality. We collectively fight back. But one door at a time and they'll get them.

    2. Waco: they watched the country sit by and let them use deadly force to raid a compound.

    3. Bundy Ranch: while that guy probably should have paid his taxes or whatever, when they showed up in force, many citizens showed up armed to resist. Then they went back to legal channels. Maybe we learned something.

    4. Flight 93. After the passengers learned of their fate, they rushed the cockpit and saved other peoples lives despite losing their own inevitably.

So there are times we get together to resist, but more often than not, we just whip out our cell phones to video it happening to someone else and give our voiceover, "Damn... that's f'ed up... (with a giggle)." We rare come to resist individually. It's more of a "if you'll do it, I'll do it." mentality.

It would be tragic to have a real civil war where my friends who are cops and customers of mine come to my house on orders from some liberal Chief of Police or Sheriff and want to take my guns. Do I say, "Hey Tom, I know you're just doing your job...here's my guns."? or do I resist. Will you come to my house to help? Will you shoot the cops surrounding my house so I can escape and we can join back up at a rally point? At what point can you honestly say you'll point your gun at a cop and pull the trigger so he cannot take your gun?

That's the sabre rattling the gun owner groups are proposing. Are we there? Do we have the fortitude for an armed resistance? Is this our Alamo? The dems don't think we have the organization or the cajones. Frankly, I agree. That's why I'm glad Dipshit Beto is saying it so broadly.

The real shame, in this and in war, is that the "leaders" will sit in their ivory tower and send some 20 year old rookie cop to my door that probably likes me and likes guns and didn't even vote for that guy to try to forcibly take my guns.

The only solution I really see (and this may be considered treason or sedition) is that we convince the local law enforcement and military to resist enforcing the lawful order. It'd like the "sanctuary city/county" concept. Somehow LE decides to NOT enforce the law. That would have to be our play. Beto won't come to my house to take my gun. So if Officer Tom refuses to do it either, it has no teeth.

    Ya think?
They have always been after our guns, but speak out of both sides of their mouths.
Some states have already been down the path of confiscation, either outright or preemptively.

Banning of certain classes of firearms is a “taking” of the future rights of the people.

The first few men get killed in the door ramming team and this happens fairly regularly every time they bust down a door and I guarantee you they’ll be less guys volunteering or showing up to ram down doors. Then what? Drop fire bombs on the gun owners house like they did in Ohio. I think it was Ohio but that’s irrelevant. The fact it’s been done before is.

That boy sure seems angry at all gun owners. They might need to red flag his ass.

    sidebite252,

"Pretty Bobbi's problem" is a state of emptiness between the ears. - In fact, I wonder if he is smart enough to understand that his political career is RUINED & out of his big/open mouth??

Robert Francis O'Rourke has publicly issued his intention to "take" firearms--
taking firearms is stealing, theft/robbery, a criminal act,
last I checked stealing a firearm is a felony crime in all 50 states and Washington DC.
Since he has made admission to do that in cahoots with "we", then he has also thereby made admission to conspiracy to commit felony theft of a firearm.

This is a good test case to uphold the rule of law.

The Texas Suspicious Activity Reporting Network was set up to "report suspicious activities or behaviors that may indicate criminal, terroristic, or school safety-related threats", for which this does qualify.

    https://iwatchtx.org/index.html

Robert Francis O'Rourke has a prior criminal history of DWI, and felony burglary, breaking and entering.
He has now publicly articulated intent to do more felony crimes.
This serial criminal needs to be investigated, as a "red flag".
His felonies keeps him from owning any guns and or rifles. He doesn't want anyone to have a AR15 or AK47 because he can't.

I don't believe that. I wouldn't be surprised that he hadn't shot a gun in his life. Democrats and socialists may say things like "Nobody needs this type of gun, but we don't want to take all your guns", but that's how you take things away while justifying that they're not taking everything. It's incremental banning, today it's this, tomorrow it's that, all the while making it sound like it's the good thing to do, until there's nothing left to take away. Unless people are willing stand up for their rights, and just say no, they'll be left with none.

Beto knows this, and he also knows that if you word it right like "for our own safety". Many will believe that people who don't comply are the bad guys, that they don't want them safe. They may say they don't want to take away all your guns, but that's just feel good talk. You can't put fear in people, if you fear the people will resist.

Considering this would be a federal law, local LE may not enforce it due to jurisdictional concerns...I can see agencies taking the position of ‘Not my law, not my problem’. As for direct military action (as opposed to technical support) it would be difficult to avoid the Posse Comitatus restrictions, but could be done through express Congressional authorization extending federal LE authorities to the military.

There are some weird exclusions in 10 USC 331-335 dealing with insurrection as well, but again requires either a state to request help with an insurrection or require the President to declare an insurrection.

That’s going to be a hard sell for any politician.

I'm just wondering what Francesca's and the rest of the Dem Socialidiots Gang excuse will be for the mass shootings that are going to keep happening AFTER they ban/confiscate all the legally owned AR's they can find...
