    A plea to the membership.

The AFAR project is almost complete. To see what this project is and if you want to be a part then GO HERE

Still fighting on whether to go with a drop-in handguard or a free floating. A drop-in will need a Deltaring and an endcap purchased. A Freefloat will be just that, a purchase.

If you have Either of these components speak up quickly. EZ-E and I are talking about which way to go and necessary parts will be ordered soon if no one jumps up.

If you want to participate in some other way then please chime in on the AFAR thread

    Thank You

Nobody can resist checking out a thread called "Project AFAR". That would be like saying those that haven't seen the thread "Actual Photos Inside Area 51", like they could resist looking.

Car is totaled. Sorry, not sharing details other than to say that driving in a rush doesn't do a damn bit of good if you never get to where you are going. Thankfully everyone is OK and the other person's car wasn't badly damaged.

My damage to my car was just over $5,000 but when the car isn't worth a ton as it is.... damn thing was going to be paid off in April of next year too. I really liked that car.

Now to figure out what I want to drive next that I can afford. Sigh. As much as I want a truck in the size of the new Ranger, Colorado or Tacoma, I don't know I have a real need for one being the usual suburban dweller. Rav4 sized SUV or hatchback maybe... A certified pre-owned Passat has caught my eye also. I liked the one I owned once upon a time.

Waiting on the final word from insurance to find out how badly they're going to try to hose me. Not to mention I can't wait to find out what my premium will go up to.

And just FWIW, my wife is a saint for putting up with me.

SQL , hopefully your insurance takes care of ya. As for new cars dont get a Chevy with the 3.6l, they are bad news.
I'd stick to a Honda or Toyota like you mentioned. Or just blow the budget & go get a new F150 :green:
