I went out today and coated the RCBS 201-KT bullets I had sitting on the bench. Then I cast up a batch of the 155 gr SWC for the .45 ACP, then cast another 10 lbs of 9mm bullets.

Oh, I sized a bunch of 9mm bullets while waiting for the lead to melt in my pot.

Made a quick and dirty adapter for my RCBS case trimmer to mount it to the inline fabrication recessed mount. Haven't used this in a while... got out of the habit and need to trim a lot of brass.

Then used it for 10 minutes and decided to go back to using my drill press and my Giraud trimmer, because it's way faster. The RCBS requires several steps to trim each case, and it's just awkward.

If you have a Giraud, why would you even acknowledge the presence of the RCBS tool? :)

Seriously, though, the only reason I might still have the RCBS is if the Giraud is a terrible pain to change setups. It looks like it is.

How easy or hard is it to change the Giraud to a different cartridge?

Work in progress, have to put a 2x4 under the table top and drill the last hole.

They aren't hard at all. All you do is setup your case insert then have a cutter head. Now initial setup can be a pain but after that it's easy going.

The 3 way trimmer is a bitch to adjust.

I was tired, I thought, of holding each piece of brass, and I thought that it was somehow less precise than the RCBS.... likewise, I hand't used the RCBS in several years, and only recently got my reloading room set up well enough to start using it again.

The rcbs IS pretty accurate in terms of repeatable lengths, but I still have to debur and face it after... add in the fact that it takes about 4-5 times as long to do each piece of brass... and I'm going to sell the RCBS.

BTW, my giraud is the drill mounted one, not the powered one. I really want the powered one, but dont' want to spend the money right now.

    How many firings between annealings?

After every firing for bolt guns. Since I'm using grendel in an AR and a bolt gun, I'm just planning on annealing all of my grendel brass every cycle- at least, that's what I'm planning if I don't decide on a different load for each gun.
