That's easy... So simple its scary.
I do have friends that fit the other descriptions though. The worst is clean all your guns before you shoot any of them

For me it’s never enough ammo. I go there with a ton of ammo and expect to shoot a ton of ammo

I stand accused of being 6 of those at some point or another, but never clean all to shoot any. Perhaps when I had 3 or 4, but I can't remember that far back.

I would say it took me awhile and after working through those six over the years, I've become the "So Simple It's Scary" guy at this point too.
I really laughed at the Extraneous Equipment guy. Definitely have been him.

Yep I've got a friend that is Extraneous Equipment Guy. One day we were going to shoot at a range near his house. His house is an hour from mine. Get off the phone with him jump in the shower, grab my gear head out. Get to his house & he's still playing in his gun safe...lol

That’s some funny stuff. Don’t know that I’m any of the 7 and fortunately the only range I’ve been to so far isn’t that busy when I go. I plan it like that when I can.

I'm scary simple until I'm extraneous equipment guy. I try to keep range trips focussed on specific objectives and when I succeed: it's scary simple. But when I travel more than an hour or plan to spend more than an hour, packing strategy is the key to getting more junk than I can possibly need packed into the truck. I'm still pulling stuff from a range kit I packed almost a year ago for a weekend long shoot 3 hours from home.

How much I bring is in direct correlation to how far I'm traveling. Inverse correlation, that is. More miles = more guns, more ammo, etc. "just in case someone might want to shoot it." Local range? maybe 2 or 3 guns tops and a box or two of ammo per.

When ive been to the Get Together @ Texas Star I always bring more than i plan on shooting. I guess when your 3 + hours from the house you want to make sure you got all you could need. Last time i was thinking it would be easier to get a dolly & load up a Security Cabinet in the back of the truck & head up there.

For me, local range trips are most often for meditation. That'll be one pistol (lately, it's consistently been my M18 S&W revolver) and one box of ammo in one small bag with my ears hanging on the side. 50 rounds, slow fire, concentrating, will clear the mind of all the noise that builds up in there. It's amazing how much more refreshed I feel leaving the range than when I arrived.
